About me and my therapy practice

I’m a Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (MBACP) with a background in nursing. I work with adults aged 18+, offering a reflective, non-judgemental space to explore challenges such as anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, grief, challenging relationships with eating and body image or the emotional impact of illness.

My approach is integrative, drawing primarily on Transactional Analysis alongside other therapeutic models. I aim to provide a calm and supportive space where you can make sense of emotional patterns, understand yourself more deeply, and explore whatever is most important to you.

Practice description

I take a psychotherapeutic, integrative approach, drawing primarily on Transactional Analysis alongside other models such as, Gestalt, person centred, solution focussed, CBT and compassionate focussed.

My work is collaborative and tailored to each client, allowing us to explore patterns in thoughts, feelings, and relationships, and to make sense of experiences in a way that feels meaningful.

My background in nursing gives me insight into the emotional impact of illness, both for clients themselves and for those supporting loved ones. I am particularly interested in the mind–body connection, and how past experiences and unprocessed trauma can shape how we cope with life today.

I aim to provide a reflective, safe space where clients can feel heard, understood, and supported in uncovering insights and making positive changes. You do not need to have clarity about your situation before starting therapy.

I welcome whatever you bring.

The first session gives us a chance to get to know each other and to discuss what has brought you to therapy. We will explore your goals and whether working together feels like a good fit.

There is no expectation to share more than feels comfortable. Many clients begin feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or stuck, all of which are welcome.

I work online only, which allows flexibility while maintaining a strong therapeutic connection. Sessions can be scheduled at a time that works for you

About me and my therapy practice

I’m a Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (MBACP) with a background in nursing, offering online therapy for adults aged 18+. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, work-related stress, and periods of transition or uncertainty.

My approach is thoughtful and collaborative, providing a confidential, non-judgemental space to explore what’s happening for you and to understand the patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing and relationships.

Practice description

I work integratively, drawing primarily on Transactional Analysis alongside other therapeutic approaches. This allows the work to be tailored to each individual rather than following a fixed model. Together, we can explore both present-day concerns and earlier experiences that may continue to influence how you feel, think, and relate to others.

My background in nursing informs my understanding of stress, emotional resilience, and the impact that health and caregiving roles can have on mental wellbeing. I am also interested in the connection between emotional experience and physical health, and how unprocessed experiences can manifest over time.

I aim to work at a pace that feels right for you, offering a space that supports reflection, insight, and change. You do not need to arrive with clear answers — curiosity, uncertainty, and exploration are all welcome.

My first session

The first session is a chance to talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you hope for from the process. We will also look at practicalities and consider whether working together feels like a good fit.

There is no expectation to share everything straight away. Therapy can begin wherever you are, and we will move forward together at a pace that feels manageable.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (MBACP) offering online therapy for adults. I provide a safe, supportive space to explore anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, and life challenges.

I have a background in nursing and over 20 years’ experience working with people through emotional, relational, and health-related difficulties. My approach is integrative, meaning I draw on different therapeutic models to suit the individual, with a strong emphasis on understanding patterns, relationships, and emotional experience.

I work thoughtfully and at depth, while remaining warm, grounded, and non-judgemental. Therapy with me is collaborative and paced, allowing space to explore what feels most important to you.

Practice description

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, stress, anger, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, chronic illness, difficult relationships with food and body and psychosexual or sexual difficulties.

My nursing background gives me particular insight into the emotional impact of health concerns and long-term conditions, and I am able to work sensitively with the connection between mind and body. I also have extensive experience supporting people with issues around intimacy, desire, performance anxiety, and the emotional effects these can have on self-esteem and relationships.

These are just some of the areas I work in. You do not need to know exactly what the issue is before starting therapy — I am open to exploring whatever is bringing you at this time.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and to explore what has led you to seek therapy at this time. We will talk about what you are hoping for from counselling and whether the way I work feels right for you.

There is no expectation to share more than feels comfortable. Some people arrive with something very clear they want to work on, while others feel unsure or overwhelmed — both are completely welcome.

I work online, which many clients find offers flexibility and comfort while still allowing for a meaningful therapeutic connection. I am happy to answer any questions you may have and will always work at a pace that feels manageable for you.
