About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Tracey.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Reaching out for support is the important first step towards getting the help you need and deserve at this point in your life.
Life can look “fine” from the outside, yet inside feel exhausting and overwhelming. You may find yourself anxious, stuck, or struggling to hold things together with relationship worries, health issues, or pressures at work. You don’t have to face any of this alone.
When you’re unsure where to turn, counselling can slow a racing mind and bring clarity back into your life. It offers you the opportunity to make sense of what’s happening inside you and gently explore the thoughts and feelings that may be keeping you stuck.
Counselling is a unique relationship where you can talk freely without fear of judgement. My approach is compassionate, calm, and centred around you.
In our sessions, you can expect to feel respected, understood, and deeply listened to. Together, we will explore your experiences at your pace, helping you understand patterns that may be holding you back and what influences how you feel and respond.
By putting your wellbeing first and gaining insight into your inner world, you can feel more empowered, more in control, and better equipped to face future challenges with confidence.
I work with clients at all stages of life. Whether you are feeling anxious, lost, low or struggling with a specific issue that is becoming overwhelming — we can work together either short or longer‑term, face to face or online, whichever best meets your needs.
Practice description
You'll find a warm, non-judgemental space where you can speak openly, honestly and be truly heard. I work from home in a separate garden home office which is cosy and calm.
My first session
Before your first appointment I offer a free 15 minute telephone call to explore what your needs are, how I can help and to see if we are a good fit.
What to expect in your first session:
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other in a caring, safe space where you feel comfortable from the very beginning.
As a person‑centred counsellor, the session is led by you. This means we focus on what feels most important to you, without pressure or expectation.
Each appointments lasts 50 minutes allowing time for you to speak freely and openly without pressure.
During the first meeting, we will:
- Explore what brings you to counselling, including any stresses, worries, or feelings you’ve been carrying.
- Talk about what you hope to gain, even if you don’t yet have clear goals — the person‑centred approach supports you in discovering these over time.
- Look at your world from your perspective, helping me understand your experiences in the way you understand them.
