About me and my therapy practice
I’m Jody,
An experienced Integrative Counsellor offering support to adults, teens and young people. I’ve been counselling for almost a decade and bring over forty years of life experience to my work.
Counselling with me offers a non judgmental space to pause, breathe, and feel genuinely heard. It’s a calm place where we can begin to gently untangle what’s been weighing you down and explore new ways of coping that feel manageable for you.
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, grief, stress related to school, college, university or work, relationship or family challenges, low self-esteem or low mood, I'm here to support you.
I’ll support you to understand your thoughts and emotions more clearly, build confidence, and make changes that feel right for your life. Along the way, we can bring in simple, helpful tools so you feel more grounded and empowered, rather than overwhelmed.
Practice description
My private practice supports people across the UK, and I also work with clients in secondary education and employee‑assistance settings.
Alongside this, I’ve spent time volunteering within NHS Talking Therapies and with a pregnancy support charity, gaining valuable experience supporting individuals through baby loss and birth trauma.
*If you are enquiring for your teen, allow them to be a part of the process when choosing a therapist. Let them read my profile and ask them what they think, they need to feel comfortable with their therapist.
My first session
Starting therapy and finding someone you feel comfortable with can feel a bit daunting. To make things easier, I offer a free 15‑minute introductory phone call. It’s a relaxed chance to talk about what you want from counselling. It also gives you an opportunity to decide whether I’m the right person to support you.
Counselling sessions last 50 minutes and take place in person, online or by phone so you can access support from wherever you feel most at ease.
I respond to every enquiry, please check your junk mail.
