About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor, with a level 5 Diploma in Integrative Counselling and a level 4 Diploma in Child and Adolescent Counselling. My approach is person-centred and trauma-informed. I incorporate CBT, mindfulness, meditation and breath work. I am also qualified to deliver Drawing & Talking.
Children need sensitivity, patience and safety in order to access their potential and feel safe enough to work through their challenges. Creative approaches and the child’s interests support the therapeutic relationship and engage the child, so they can explore their inner world and build self esteem.
I have worked in various Birmingham primary schools since 2016, as a mentor/counsellor with children who have needed additional 1:1 emotional support. I have also supported parents in other primary schools as a family support worker, my life and work experience has been integral to this service.
All children are assessed prior to interventions and outcomes are monitored. Resources are provided and included in the session fee.

I work as either a family support worker or a child therapist. I deliver Therapeutic Mentoring or Drawing & Talking to children. I can also deliver Drawing & Talking to parents.

About me and my therapy practice
CLB Therapy provides accredited, trauma informed, neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy for adult females, who may be finding life overwhelming, or just need support to understand who they are.
I am passionate about working with females, including those who are neurodivergent, or are impacted by neurodiversity in some way. We know that being neurodivergent can mean an increased susceptibility to trauma and mental health issues, it can also impact loved ones and the workplace.
Much of my work involves empowering clients who struggle with these issues and experience anxiety, depression or low self-worth. I provide an accepting space to be heard, and strategies to help build confidence and self-esteem.
Working with a trauma-informed approach, I can also help you identify challenges affecting your daily life, which may be connected to past events. Processing earlier experiences can help us release pain and heal, so we can move forward.
Areas of professional interest and experience include; mental health, neurodiversity (ADHD/ASD/OCD), childhood trauma (ACEs), sexuality, identity, menopause, relationship difficulties and abuse.
I also work in schools with parents and children, who need practical and emotional support - feel free to enquire if your school may be interested.
I hope you will get in touch to see if I am the right counsellor for you. My name is Charlie and I am looking forward to hearing from you.
