About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Sarah.
I’m a person-centred, trauma-informed counsellor, working exclusively online—so no matter where you’re based, we can connect if I’m the right counsellor for you.
My work is rooted in empathy and lived experience. I specialise in supporting people who are childless-not-by-choice or navigating the end of their fertility journey. This isn’t just my professional focus; it’s personal. I understand the unique challenges and emotions that come with childlessness because I’ve walked this path myself. In our sessions, you’ll find a space that’s not only supportive but also safe from triggers, because I truly get it.
I offer both short-term and long-term counselling, with flexibility to adapt to your needs—because life doesn’t pause for therapy, and neither should your support.
While childlessness is often what brings people to my door, it’s rarely the only thing going on. I also have experience supporting clients with:
- Anxiety, worry, and stress
- Depression and grief
- Infertility, miscarriage, and IVF
- Major life changes, like hysterectomy, menopause, job loss, or divorce
- Low confidence, self-esteem, or feeling lost
As a person-centred counsellor, I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, offering a safe and non-judgmental space to explore whatever you bring.
How it works
If you choose to work with me, I offer weekly, fortnightly, or monthly sessions, because therapy should fit your life.
Next Steps
Our first step is a free, 30-minute consultation. This is your chance to share what you’d like from counselling, ask me anything, and see if we’re a good fit. Finding the right counsellor is so important—the relationship and trust we build are key to your journey.
Qualifications and Experience
CPCAB level 2 certificate in counselling skills
CPCAB level 3 certificate in counselling studies
CPCAB level 4 Diploma in therapeutic counselling.
CPCAB level 6 Diploma in trauma counselling
Practice description
I work online using Zoom or over the telephone.
During the free 30 minute initial consultation we will explore what you would like to achieve with counselling and we will agree to an initial number of sessions.
Usually when working with someone that is childless-not-by-choice, we start with 12 sessions and then regularly review to see if you would like to end before this, or continue on a more long term basis.
Given the deeper nature of childlessness, this can sometimes be months or years, but it's in your control to pause, stop or continue.
I offer weekly, fortnightly and monthly sessions.
Fees
Each 50 minute session is £55
My first session
I start with a free initial consultation for approximately 30 minutes.
This is your opportunity to share your expectations of counselling, ask me any questions and get a feel for whether I'm the counsellor for you.
This is perhaps the most important part of the process, because it's important to choose the right counsellor for you. The relationship and trust that is developed is integral to supporting you while you work through things.
