About me and my therapy practice
About me
I work with clients who may be suffering with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem or trauma for a variety of reasons. During our initial sessions, we will explore the issues at hand and get a better understanding how this interferes with your mental health. Depending on your personal situation, you might need only a few sessions to see improvements, but often a longer term approach will benefit most clients.
I am trained in a person centred approach and I also had extensive training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I have also been trained in other modalities and I learned many other therapeutic methods.
So, my main approach would best be described as integrative counselling. Most importantly, I always aim to adjust the therapy approach to the needs of my clients.
Summary of my credentials:
I have worked for the Dutch Mental Health Services as a Clinical Psychologist Assistant (CPA) helping adults, teens with personality disorders and trauma. In the UK, I have set up a Talking Therapy service for the NHS with great success.
I am a fully licensed MBACP Psychotherapist & Counsellor and Counselling Director for pcti.
Education and Years In Practice
In Practice for 6 years
Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy (FHEQ Masters Level 7), PGDip (with Merit), Graduated 2019
Additional Credentials
Degree/Diploma from Erasmus University Rotterdam in Business Administration (MSc)
Master of Science / 1999
Degree/Diploma from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in Clinical Psychology (BSc)
Bachelor of Science / 2010
Practice description
About you
You may be carrying deep pain, grief after loss, or the effects of trauma that still shape how you feel and connect. You might long to feel safe, understood, and whole again. In our work together, I offer a compassionate, trauma-informed space where your story is held with care. Gently, we’ll explore your experiences, nurture self-compassion and self-esteem, and begin to release the weight of the past. My integrative approach supports your healing, helping you rebuild trust, find new meaning after loss, and rediscover peace, strength, and connection within yourself and with life.
I support clients facing trauma, bereavement, loss, and the emotional impact of injury. My focus is helping you process pain, rebuild safety, and restore self-worth. In a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space, you can explore emotions and thoughts, reflect on experiences, and begin your inner journey towards healing and inner stability.
I hope you can value me, as a therapist who is not only highly trained and experienced but also deeply human, someone who can model vulnerability and authenticity, making the therapeutic relationship itself a source of healing.
Please, reach out to me, send me a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
