About me and my therapy practice

You’re not looking for a traditional ‘listen and reflect’ therapist – and I’m not your typical therapist.

Your life may be successful, busy and accomplished in many ways, but you’re not enjoying it. You’re struggling with your thoughts, with anxiety, your energy is low, and you may be bringing unhelpful patterns from the past into your relationships.

You’ve gone through difficult experiences in the past, and it’s affecting you today. You don’t want it to continue to shape who you are, how you feel, or how you live your life. You want to change the patterns, the intergenerational dynamics. You want to be the best version of yourself, and heal the reactive, anxious, unhappy and unsafe child part of you.

I understand that You need to feel understood, to gain clarity on yourself, get guidance on how to move forward. You want to gain insight into why you’re feeling and behaving the way you are, but you also want to translate that understanding into different behaviours in your life.

A Safe, Secure, Non-judgemental Relationship

Within a few minutes of meeting, you and I are going to have the type of relationship you’ve been needing your whole life. Someone who listens, is empathic, is unquestionably non-judgmental, and who guides you towards making better choices for yourself.

Before becoming a Psychotherapist, my life was in the fast-paced world of corporate Public Relations, working as an Account Director in London. I continued my career in PR whilst studying for my Master’s degree in Psychotherapy so I know what stress and pressure feels like. I’ve been working with clients as a Psychotherapist since 2018.

Emotional, Psychological and Mental Health Expertise

I have over 10 years of training and experience seeing people with a wide range of struggles, including anxiety, emotional regulation, relationship issues, early-life trauma, difficulties at work and anger regulation.

Practice description

My therapeutic background

 Humanistic Therapy

This means that I value your autonomy, self-discovery and uniqueness, alongside any specific symptoms or diagnoses you bring.

Our relationship will be a safe, non-judgmental and exploratory space. My own personality, including my transparency, honesty and authenticity, is central to this. Together, we can face the shame, guilt, low self-worth or emotional pain you're living with and gradually begin to take it out of the dark.

 Psychodynamic Therapy

A psychodynamic approach, originating from the work of Freud and Jung, is fundamentally about getting to the root of the problem. We will explore how your current behaviour and feelings may be shaped by your past experiences and unconscious processes.

 Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy

It aims to break the cycle by identifying your thought-patterns, negative schemas and core-beliefs, before choosing more balanced alternatives. CBT is helpful for those with persistent, frequent, disruptive thoughts or belief-systems.

 Coaching

To move from feeling stuck, demotivated, lethargic and passive, to energised, inspired and fulfilled. Your goals will be unique to you, but are often focused around health, fitness, relationships, career, weight, or food.

 Somatic and Embodiment Therapy

Connecting body and mind, embodied or somatic therapy aims to help you release stress and trauma stored in the body, to regulate a dysregulated nervous system.

 Holistic Therapy

A holistic standpoint acknowledges the influence that a person's biochemical and neurochemical status has over their mental health.

As a Registered Nutritionist and Naturopathic Practitioner, I offer a functional health approach to your mental health concerns. Rooted in scientific research, this combines evidence-based practices with natural methods, including personalised nutritional and supplemental prescriptions and lifestyle recommendations.

My first session

What can you expect from a session?

I specialise in individual therapy, so our sessions will be between just you and I. Sessions will last for 50 minutes each. Most of my clients attend at the same time each week, but we will arrange your sessions to suit you. I offer both long-term and short-term therapy, dependent on what you need.

The first session acts as an opportunity for us to meet, discuss the structure of the sessions, talk about what has brought you to therapy, and outline what you want to achieve, along with any goals and benchmarks (if appropriate for you).

You can expect to find a collaborative partnership in me, someone who will explore and make sense of the problems you are struggling with.

My approach to you

Your therapy is based uniquely upon you and why you are coming to see me. My view is that different people have different needs, and therefore each client needs different therapy. Some people may want or need a direct approach, a structured plan to address a particular concern, some may need guidance, some need space to process and someone to listen, others may be looking for me to provide a path to help them explore who they are and what they want. In this way, everyone is different.

Recognising these individual needs is key to empathising with you, understanding you, and addressing how to move forward.

That’s why my practice has an integrative therapeutic approach, whereby I tailor the therapy to the individual.

My practice is both client-centred and solution-focused - and therefore, with me you can expect to be given the time you deserve to feel understood, whilst also making sense of your feelings and circumstances and bringing successful changes to your life.
