Please note I am no longer working in person in London but I do have some online availability.

I offer weekly sessions, I do not offer fortnightly sessions.

I work Monday-Friday in the daytime with a limited number of evening sessions.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome.

I am an experienced psychotherapist and I work with individuals and couples who come to see me with a wide range of challenges and difficulties that they are facing. People often seek therapy when they are at a transitional moment in their lives; when old ways of being are no longer feeling possible or useful, be that in relationships, in a workplace or within their own sense of self. Through our work together you will have the opportunity to speak about your experiences and feelings; both now and in your past, and we will work together to develop an understanding of you and your life with the hope that this therapeutic process of reflection and insight might be transformative for you.

Coming for psychotherapy or counselling can be a difficult and even fearful moment in our lives but I am here to offer you a safe and confidential space. I am influenced by several therapeutic approaches, but my central approach is psychodynamic which means I will pay attention to every aspect of your lived experience, including your past, as a way of understanding what drives you today and how and why you respond to the world and to others in the ways you do.

Examples of issues I have worked with include bereavement, sexual abuse, domestic violence, health diagnoses, infertility, gender identity, eating disorders, suicidality, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties and loss of purpose.

I look forward to hearing from you.

ABOUT ME:

I trained in psychotherapy and counselling in London 15 years ago and have worked in various therapeutic settings since, including within NHS primary care, at a university counselling service and for a large regional counselling charity. I am also involved in the teaching and training of psychotherapists and counsellors in several training organisations at both foundation and diploma level. I am also a supervisor and I have experience of offering both group and individual psychodynamic supervision to pre and post qualified therapists and counsellors. I have recently worked as a clinical service manager in a large counselling charity alongside my private work.

FEES:

Individual psychotherapy starts at £55 per 50 minute session and the fee will be discussed and agreed before we meet for our first session.

Couples psychotherapy starts at £80 per 50 minute session and the fee will be discussed and agreed before we meet for our first session.

I do offer a limited number of reduced fees for students and those on lower income.

My first session

Initially, once you make email or phone contact, and it feels that we might be able to work together, we will have a 20 minute phone conversation. There is no charge for this and it’s an opportunity for you to tell me what is bringing you to therapy. I offer both open-ended and time limited therapy, and if it is an open-ended contract, we will review our work together at regular intervals. If we agree to work together, there will be a therapy agreement for you to sign which will offer you all the terms of our work, e.g. how and when to make a payment, what we do about holidays and missed sessions, etc.
