About me and my therapy practice

I offer in-person sessions (10 miles north of Peterborough in south Lincolnshire, PE6), online sessions via Zoom, or outdoor therapy sessions.

I am a BACP registered therapeutic Counsellor working in private practice. I have experience within the charity sector as an Emotional Support Lead and bereavement counsellor. As an integrative therapist I use my training and expertise as a qualified professional to offer holistic support.

Sometimes emotions, circumstances, or particular life events can feel overwhelming and start to intrude into our day to day lives. Our sense of wellbeing can be impacted positively and negatively by many things that we experience including our relationships, childhood, work, health or the loss of a loved one. How we make sense of life and interpret what has happened to us can at times cause anxiety and depression, alongside other challenges.

In times like these counselling can provide you with much needed breathing space and an opportunity to talk through the difficult situations you are facing in a confidential environment with a qualified professional.

Qualifications: MA (Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy), BSc. Psychology (hons.), Diploma in Counselling Supervision (Stages 1 & 2), Diploma in Humanistic Counselling.

Practice description

My approach is integrative, and I work using elements of humanistic, person-centred, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as appropriate. I am also qualified to practise the Rewind Trauma Therapy Technique.

I offer in person sessions in Market Deeping, Peterborough, online sessions to those within the UK, and walk and talk sessions 8 miles north of Peterborough in south Lincolnshire.

Being outdoors can improve mental wellbeing and has the potential to bring restoration and healing. The feeling of being connected to nature may also bring a sense of freedom that is different to engaging in counselling indoors. This is not for everyone, as nature cannot be controlled like the inside of a room and sessions do take place come rain, wind, or sunshine! However, if you feel this (or counselling in general) may be something you would like to explore then please get in touch to book a free 15-minute introductory phone call where you can ask any questions that you may have.

I can also give opportunity for spiritual and/or religious faith to be included in your counselling if this is an aspect of your life that is important to you, or an aspect that has caused challenge and you would like to talk this through.
