Availability
I currently have slots available, between Monday to Wednesday, with limited evening availability. I work flexible hours and will try to accommodate you if we can find a mutually convenient time.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer face-to-face, as well as telephone or online sessions via Teams. I am able to help with depression, anxiety, stress, trauma and neurodiversity.
My work is routed in psychodynamic practice, which means we think about the influence of the past on how we are in the present, and by becoming aware of our patterns and defences, we can learn to adapt how we interact and behave.
I also integrate somatic work which can help with the phyiscal aspects of anxiety, trauma and stress, as well as having trained in other modals which I can integrate into our work if appropriate and if you are curious to try them.

About my Practice
I offer a professional, confidential and a friendly approach to counselling. I work in an open-ended way to find the right pace for you so that we can work together to help alleviate difficult feelings and situations that may be affecting you.
Whilst friends and family may be able to help us with decision making, sometimes working with a professional can give an unbiased approach to help you decide what is right for you. Counselling can assist to work through relationships difficulties, work issues, stress, anxiety and depression, as well as bereavement or the effects of a trauma on our lives.
I have trained in Psychodynamic Counselling, Psychotherapeutic Counselling and Somatic Skills for Trauma. This means I have access to a number of techniques and resources to tailor the counselling approach to your needs. We can find a place of safety in the body to help you feel safer to explore difficult or traumatic events.
I also have experience of working with neurodiversity, such as ADHD or ASD.
As a member of the BACP I work in accordance with their ethical framework.
A little about me
Before training as a counsellor, I worked as a manager in the commercial world, for large corporate companies before helping to run a family business. I have always enjoyed working with and helping people develop in their professional role and supporting them emotionally too. I have worked for and several local counselling agencies over the years. When working through my own challenges in the past, I have found counselling, yoga and breath work have helped me enormously and I incorporate this in my counselling work if people are interested and open to this approach.
My first session
After our initial telephone call, and if you feel comfortable after our discussion, we will book an assessment session. This is an opportunity to take a thorough history, helping me to understand how best to work with you, and for you to see if you are comfortable with me. It is slightly different to a normal counselling session.
In our first session we will talk about the counselling contract, which outlines what we can expect from each other in the counselling work, such as confidentiality and fees.
We will talk together about the problems and your expectations of the work before formulating a plan of how to work towards your goals.

Availability
I have some recent availability to take on new supervisees from mid April 2026.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer supervisee focused supervision sessions from my home practice in a north Bedfordshire, or online via Teams.
I believe supervision is more than just case presentation and should be a reflective space to reflect on clients, professional development and restorative aspects of our work.
I have worked for charitable counselling organisations in the past, and currently work in Private Practice.
It is important for me that supervisees feel comfortable to be able to explore work and development openly and safely, so I endeavour to offer supervision that is supportive, reflective and with appropriate challenge.
Whilst my work is Psychodynamic, I have experience of Trauma Informed Practice, and Psychotherapeutic Integrative models too. I adopt the 7 Eyed Model in my supervision work.
I have a qualification at Level 6 OfQual Accredited Supervisor Training.
Practice description
I offer supervision session for either 1 hour or 1.5 hours.
We would arrange to discuss your supervision needs and to explain how I work. I look to offer reflective and supportive with appropriate levels of challenge depending on your level of experience. I am happy to work with experienced practitioners or students alike, and would be able to consider a reduced fee for trainees.
My first session
Our first session would allow us to explore what your needs are from supervision and how you work best. I can then explain my expectations of you and we can then contract on how to continue sessions going forward.
