About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome.  My name is Lisa and I am a fully qualified, accredited integrative Counsellor based in the Armagh area.  Integrative therapy is a flexible, personalised approach to counselling that draws on a range of therapeutic models rather than relying on just one.  Instead of using a single method for every person, I tailor the way we work together based on your needs, your experiences, and what feels most helpful for you.

It allows me to combine different approaches such as person centred, cognitive behavioural, and psychodynamic techniques to support you in a way that feels natural, respectful, and effective.  The focus is always on you as a whole person, not just the difficulties you’re facing.

There are times in life when our mood shifts, stress builds, anxiety takes hold, or we experience loss.  Seeking help can be challenging, especially when it requires sharing our struggles with those we’re closest to.  You may worry about seeming weak or feel embarrassed, but seeking professional help and support is a strong and empowering step towards easing the weight you’ve been carrying.

At LM Counselling, I provide a safe, confidential, comfortable, and non judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace.

I have extensive experience supporting young people and families affected by self-harm and anxiety.  Together, we will work through the counselling process to navigate challenges, understand emotional pain and develop healthier, more effective ways of coping.

I work with adults and young people aged 11+, helping to build confidence, self-esteem, and a stronger sense of self-worth.  Ultimately, feeling better about yourself is at the heart of meaningful change.

I encourage you to get in touch for a short initial conversation, so we can plan our first session and begin our therapeutic journey together.
