About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced psychotherapist, qualified with an MSc in Counselling and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from Birkbeck, University of London, and fully accredited by the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) . I have experience of NHS, charity and private settings. I offer short and long-term psychotherapy following the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy’s ethical guidelines.

I work with a wide range of issues using a psychodynamic approach that involves exploring your present difficulties including past, often unconscious experiences from childhood and what was your unique family dynamic.

Less than a quarter of BACP members gain accreditation (Accred). BACP Accredited membership is a quality status for experienced therapists. Gaining accreditation from a professional body like the BACP indicates a high standard of knowledge, skill and experience and the reassurance for you that you are choosing someone who complies with rigorous professional standards.

Practice description

I practice long or shorter-term psychotherapy, either in person or online using Zoom. We work together in a safe therapeutic environment where you we can explore and understand your actions, experiences, thoughts and feelings. The two of us talking together will help you to manage how you feel and reveal the different choices that are open to you. You will feel heard and acknowledged.

My consulting room is well connected to East Putney tube and Putney and Wandsworth Town mainline stations.  I see a wide range of clients from the the local area in person and from across the UK on Zoom.

Our sessions last for fifty minutes and are held once weekly at the same time.

My first session

Our first contact will be a scheduled brief (free) phone call to discuss why you are looking for therapy. Then, on our first pre-paid meeting (50 minutes), we will discuss your concerns and your history and I will assess if I am the right person to help you. In turn, if you feel comfortable, we can then start our work together.
