About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Nadera and I am a BACP Accredited Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I work in private practice and have experience working across the NHS, corporate sector, as well as educational and community settings.
At different times in our lives, we may face challenges that affect our emotional wellbeing and how we experience ourselves and our relationships. I offer one-to-one counselling in a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can feel safe, supported, and heard. I work with a range of issues including anxiety, stress, low mood, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.
As a Humanistic-Integrative Counsellor, I tailor my approach to each individual, drawing on a range of therapeutic models to suit your needs, goals, and pace. My work is collaborative, respectful, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life.
I work from a transcultural and intersectional perspective, which includes exploring the unconscious impact of culture, identity, and lived experience on emotions, thoughts, and behaviours. This approach values your unique history and personal narrative and supports deeper self-awareness and understanding.
We all have our own stories that shape how we see ourselves and the world around us. In therapy, I gently invite you to bring your whole self into the process. By exploring different aspects of your life, relationships, and recurring patterns, therapy can become an empowering space for reflection, growth, and meaningful change.
Whatever you may be facing, I am here to listen, support, and work alongside you as you make sense of your experiences and move towards a healthier and more balanced way of living.
Only you know your story and only you can tell it. I am here to listen, to support, and to explore with you.
My first session
I offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation.
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to talk about what has brought you to counselling. There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with. We’ll discuss what you’re hoping to get from therapy, how I work, and any questions you may have, so you can decide if counselling feels right for you.
