Availability

I currently have some availability during the week, including mornings, afternoons and some early evening sessions. I offer both in-person and online therapy, and we can talk through what might work best for you when we have the free consultation call.

About me and my therapy practice

I specialise in working with young people aged 12 to 25. Many of the young people I support seem to be coping on the outside, but are struggling underneath. This might show up as anxiety, low mood, feeling overwhelmed, or not quite feeling like themselves. Sometimes it’s hard to explain, things just don’t feel right.

I have 6 years’ experience working with young people and have completed additional training in this area. I work a lot with neurodivergent young people, particularly ADHD and autism, as well as those navigating identity, confidence, or feeling different from others. I also have experience supporting young people within LGBTQ+ and trans communities.

I’m a down to earth therapist and place a lot of importance on building a genuine, trusting relationship. This is often what helps young people begin to open up, especially if they’ve found it difficult to talk in the past. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and not judged.

We’ll go at your pace. Some people know exactly what they want to talk about, others don’t, and that’s completely okay. If you’d like to get a sense of whether I might be the right fit, I offer a free 20-minute call to answer any questions.

Practice description

I work in an integrative way, which means I draw on different approaches depending on what feels most helpful for you. This can include elements of CBT and psychodynamic thinking, alongside other ways of working.

At the heart of it, the work is very much about us working together. Sometimes sessions are more structured and focused, and other times it might simply be having the space to talk and be listened to.  The relationship we build is really important. Feeling comfortable, safe, and able to be yourself makes a big difference, especially when things feel difficult to talk about.

My first session

In our first session we’ll spend a little time going through the practical side of things so you know how the process works. This includes the counselling agreement and things like session timings, confidentiality and data protection. Once we’ve covered that, we’ll move into talking about what has brought you to therapy and what you would like support with. Some people arrive with a clear sense of what they want to explore, while others are still working that out, and both are completely fine. From there we simply begin the process of talking things through and exploring whatever feels most important for you.

Availability

I currently work weekdays and offer morning, afternoon and some early evening appointments. Sessions are 50 minutes and usually take place at the same time each week. I work with people on both a short-term and longer-term basis, depending on what they’re looking for from therapy.

About me and my therapy practice

I specialise in working with young people aged 12–25 and have six years’ experience supporting teenagers and young adults.

Young people often come to therapy with a lot on their minds, and it can help to talk things through with someone outside of their day-to-day world.

Young people come to therapy for many different reasons. Some may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, self-harm, or questions around identity. Others may be navigating the challenges that can come with neurodiversity, or feeling the pressure that can build around school and expectations.

I offer a space that feels calm, supportive and easy to step into, especially for young people who might feel unsure about therapy at first. We take things at their pace. Sometimes that means talking things through, and other times it’s about gently helping them make sense of what they’re feeling and why. Over time this can help them better understand what they’re going through and feel more able to cope.

I also work closely with parents where helpful, while keeping the young person’s therapy space safe and confidential.

My standard fee is £95 per session. I offer a small number of concessionary spaces where possible.

Practice description

Sessions take place in a modern, comfortable therapy room on Hampstead High Street, providing a calm and well-presented setting for counselling. The location is central and easy to reach, with good transport links nearby. There is also a waiting area available, and some parents choose to wait there during the session or take a short walk along the high street to one of the nearby cafés.

My first session

In the first session we’ll spend a few minutes going through the practical side of things so you know how the process works. This includes the counselling agreement and things like session timings, confidentiality and data protection.

Once that’s covered, we’ll move into talking about what has brought you to therapy and what you would like support with. Some people arrive with a clear idea of what they want to talk about, while others are still figuring that out, and both are completely fine.

The first session is really about beginning the work together and creating a space where you can start to talk things through at your own pace. I aim to create a space that feels relaxed and comfortable, especially for young people who may feel unsure about therapy at first.
