About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Karena.
Reaching out for support can feel daunting, but you don’t have to navigate things on your own. My goal is to make the process as calm and comfortable as possible, providing a space where you can speak openly and be heard without judgment.
I work with children, young people and adults who are experiencing grief, loss or pre-bereavement. Grief isn’t only about death; it can follow any major life change, such as divorce, health changes, identity shifts, children leaving home, or the loss of a career or sense of self. When life changes so deeply, it’s natural to feel overwhelmed or unsure of who you are now.
I am also a relationship and couples counsellor, supporting those who are struggling with communication, disconnection, conflict, or periods of change. Whether you’re hoping to rebuild trust, improve understanding, or simply reconnect with one another, I provide a safe and balanced space for both of you to explore what’s happening.
Counselling with me offers a steady, compassionate place to slow down, understand your experience, and find ways forward that feel meaningful and manageable. It’s not about moving on, but moving through, honouring what you’ve been through while reconnecting with the parts of life that still matter to you.
I warmly welcome LGBTQ+ individuals and couples, and I am committed to offering an inclusive, affirming environment for all the people I work with.
If you’re unsure where to start, that’s okay. We can take it one step at a time.

Practice description
Sessions are charged at £50 for individuals and £70 for couples.
I know life can sometimes be overwhelming, and seeking support takes courage. I will treat every enquiry with kindness and understanding to make the process a little easier.
My first session
The first session offers you the opportunity to explore your current circumstances and the issues you’re facing in a calm, confidential space. It’s a chance for us to get to know each other a little and see if we’re a good fit to work together.
You can talk about what’s bringing you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it.
Some people come in knowing exactly what they want to talk about, and others aren’t quite sure whatnor how to say it. Both are completely okay. This session helps me understand what support you might need and how we might begin working together.
There’s no pressure or expectation, just an open, supportive space to start the conversation.
