About me and my therapy practice
I’m not going to fix you….you’re going to fix you, with the help of me! I’m a firm believer that “getting your life together” is a lifelong art form (not a one-week project).
As Carl Rogers said, “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” That’s a line I return to often, because it captures the essence of therapy for me — the idea that acceptance and growth go hand in hand.
I work with people who want to understand themselves better, make sense of their patterns, and build lives that feel more genuine — not just more “productive.” My approach is down-to-earth, collaborative, and infused with gentle humour (because sometimes you have to laugh at the absurdity of being human).
I’m trained in person centred, psychodynamic modalities and solution focused therapy, and I draw on evidence-based techniques while keeping things real and relatable.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationships, burnout, or that vague “something’s off” feeling, we’ll work together to untangle it with curiosity and compassion.
If you’re looking for a therapist who values honesty, warmth, and a touch of wit, you’re in the right place.
Practice description
My practice is built around the belief that therapy should feel like a genuine conversation, not an interrogation under fluorescent lighting.
I offer a space where you can bring the unfiltered version of yourself — the polished bits and the messy ones — and know that both are equally welcome.
My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth. I don’t sit silently nodding or hand out quick-fix advice; instead, we explore your experiences together with curiosity, and compassion.
You can expect sessions that feel both grounding and thought-provoking — a place to slow down, notice what’s really going on, and begin to make sense of things in a way that feels sustainable. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, relationship patterns, low mood, or just that vague sense that “something’s off,” therapy is where we can start to unpack it.
Clients often tell me they appreciate my calm, real-world approach and the sense of relief that comes from talking openly without judgment or jargon.
Outside the therapy room, you’ll usually find me walking somewhere green, getting overly invested in other people’s dogs, sailing somewhere sunny, or reading something I’ll definitely recommend to clients later.
If you’re looking for a therapist who’s warm, curious, and believes in the power of honest connection (and probably drinks too much coffee), we might be a good fit.
