About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Becky, and I am a fully qualified Humanistic and Integrative Therapist, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have been practising since 2020 and have several years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham. Since 2018, I have worked in charities, organisations, and private practice, supporting people from diverse backgrounds.

I have experience working with trauma, including sexual abuse and domestic violence, as well as anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement, addiction, neurodiversity-related challenges, and their impact on relationships and everyday life. I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, and I aim to provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you feel heard and accepted.

My approach is humanistic and integrative, meaning therapy is tailored to your individual needs. I work collaboratively with you, supporting you to explore your experiences, understand your feelings, and move towards meaningful change at your own pace.

I offer face-to-face, telephone, and online therapy, with both short-term and long-term options available. Sessions are weekly and last 50 minutes.

I work with individuals of all ages. If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply need a space to talk, you do not have to face it alone. I welcome you to get in touch and take the first step towards support.

Practice description

My Approach

I believe that, at our core, we all long for meaningful connection and a secure base from which we can make sense of our experiences. It is within safe and supportive relationships that we are able to explore who we truly are, understand what has shaped us, and begin to live more authentically.

Through counselling, I aim to create a calm, safe, and confidential space where you can bring the whole of yourself into the room — your thoughts, feelings, questions, and uncertainties — without fear of judgement or criticism. Together, we can gently explore the challenges you may be facing, whether they are rooted in past experiences or present-day difficulties, always working at a pace that feels right for you.

My approach is grounded not only in professional training, but also in personal understanding. I know from my own life experience that life can be painful, overwhelming, and unpredictable at times. This understanding shapes my work and strengthens my commitment to helping others recognise their inherent worth, value, and resilience, even when it feels hard to see for themselves.

Reaching out for support can feel daunting, but needing help does not mean you are weak — it means you are human. Sometimes we all need a little extra support along the way, and that is not only okay, it can be an important and meaningful step towards healing and growth.

My first session

If you are considering counselling and would like to book an informal initial assessment, please feel free to get in touch for more information. You can contact me by email or telephone using the details provided.

The initial assessment is free of charge and takes place by telephone, lasting up to 30 minutes. This offers you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have, share a little about what has brought you to therapy, and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.

I understand that taking the first step can feel daunting, and you are welcome to reach out at your own pace. I look forward to hearing from you when you feel ready.

I offer face-to-face, telephone, and online sessions for individuals of all ages. Sessions are typically weekly and last 50 minutes, with both short-term and long-term therapy available.
