About me and my therapy practice

Welcome !

I'm Bel and I'm passionate about helping people lead happier and more confident lives! I offer counselling face to face, by Zoom, telephone or Walk and Talk therapy. If you're here because you are seeking professional counselling support, you are very welcome to contact me to arrange a free 30 minute introductory session.

I love the work I do which helps clients to find their inner confidence, to gain a greater understanding of themselves, their relationships and their situations, and move forward towards a more satisfying way of living.

Sometimes our experience of what life throws at us can be overwhelming or confusing. We can feel stuck not knowing which way to go, perhaps frightened of what making change could mean. My aim is to listen deeply to what you are telling me and to hold your experience of whatever is going on in your life with care, compassion and without judgement, giving you a safe space to explore and re-evaluate what is important to you.

I am on your side! When we work together, you can be sure of my warm acceptance and valuing of you as an individual just as you are. I have travelled the journey of finding my own self-confidence and healing so I am very much here for you. Let's see how we can share this part of your journey forwards together!


Practice description

I have been counselling clients online using Zoom and by telephone since Covid and have found this way of working to be both therapeutically beneficial and a convenient way of working.

I am an integrative practitioner, which means I am not fixed to one theory of counselling. I work with the client in a way that respects their own individual needs and preferences. 

If you are currently experiencing emotional distress or looking for a new direction, I warmly invite you to explore your situation with me through counselling. I appreciate that it may feel quite daunting to take that first step; I am here to support you in your decision. Please contact me to find out more.


My first session

I believe it's really important you find someone you feel comfortable with. That's why I offer potential clients the opportunity to have a free half hour telephone or Zoom appointment with me to see if we are suited to work together. If this call would be helpful for you, please let me know when might be a good time for us to get in touch in the next few days.

All being well, the next step would then be to arrange to have an assessment session. At the assessment session we would get a broader picture of you as you are now and some of your history and explore how we might work together after the assessment to help get you move forward. We would then decide on a number of sessions to start our journey together.
