About me and my therapy practice
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. You may find yourself struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, difficult relationships, emotional overwhelm, or patterns that seem to repeat no matter how hard you try to change them. Sometimes we know exactly what is wrong. Other times, we simply know that something doesn’t feel right.
Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and better understand yourself. Often, the things that cause us the most distress in the present have roots in earlier experiences, relationships, and long-established ways of coping.
I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist and a registered member of the BACP. I have experience supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, emotional regulation, bereavement, family issues, life transitions, and the lasting impact of difficult past experiences.
My approach is person-centred and integrative. Alongside a person-centred foundation, I draw on psychodynamic thinking to explore attachment patterns, early experiences, and unconscious processes that may be influencing how you think, feel, and relate to others today. Where appropriate, I also incorporate practical tools and strategies to support emotional wellbeing.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. Whether you are seeking support with a specific difficulty or looking to explore longer-standing patterns, I will work alongside you at a pace that feels right for you.
Rather than focusing solely on managing symptoms, I am interested in understanding the whole picture. Together, we can make sense of your experiences, untangle long-held patterns, and develop greater clarity, self-understanding, and emotional freedom. When we begin to understand ourselves differently, lasting change becomes possible.
