About me and my therapy practice
BACP Accredited Integrative Counsellor & Specialist Sight Loss Counsellor
I am an Accredited BACP Integrative Counsellor and an Accredited Sight Loss Counsellor. Rooted in Person-Centred theory, my practice is built on empathy, respect, and a belief in your capacity for healing. I provide a safe, culturally-attuned space for adults (16+) navigating both everyday challenges and complex trauma.
A Comprehensive Approach to Wellbeing
I welcome those seeking support for general wellbeing and specialist intervention:
* General Mental Health: Daily stress, persistent anxiety, and low mood.
* Life Transitions: Grief, bereavement, relationship breakdowns, and identity changes.
* Specialist Support: Chronic health conditions, the complexities of Sight Loss (with lived experience), and Neurodiversity (ADHD/Autism).
Clinical Specialization: Trauma & Chronic Health
I work psychotherapeutically in both short and long-term frameworks. I specialise in complex trauma recovery (C-PTSD) and chronic health. For neurodivergent clients or those managing long-term illness, we focus on deeper self-understanding and healing relational patterns, specifically addressing the cycles of "masking" and burnout.
Integrative & Trauma-Informed Framework
My approach is truly integrative, tailored to your unique history:
* Trauma-Informed: Prioritising safety, stability, and emotional regulation.
* Parts Work: Helping you understand internal aspects of yourself—protective, wounded, or reactive—to foster self-compassion.
* Therapeutic Models: I incorporate Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, and CBT tools.
Accessible & Inclusive Care
This is a neuro-affirmative and LGBTQ+ affirming space. Based in Oldbury, I support the West Midlands and provide UK-wide telephone and online therapy. This offers flexibility for those balancing health, caring, or accessibility needs.
I offer a free 20-minute discovery call to discuss your needs and see how we might navigate your current season together.
Practice description
Specialisms & Lived Experience
I specialise in complex trauma recovery (C-PTSD) and Neurodiversity-affirming support. Whether you are living with a chronic health condition, adjusting to sight loss, experiencing burnout, or carrying the weight of anxiety, stress, and low mood, I am here to help. I offer UK-wide online and telephone counselling for major life transitions, identity concerns, and relationship challenges.
I support adults and young people (16+) from all backgrounds, with a particular focus on marginalised communities. As an Accredited Sight Loss Counsellor and a committed ally, I provide LGBTQIA+ and Neurodiversity-affirming support. My specialization includes working with individuals navigating disability, long-term health conditions, and sensory impairment. As a Black British Caribbean woman living with lived experience of sight loss, I understand the importance of finding a therapist who truly understands the nuances of your identity and the challenges of an inaccessible world.
How We Move Forward
You don’t have to go through this alone. Rooted in Person-Centred principles, I work gently and respectfully, always at your pace. I offer a trauma-informed space where you can feel safe enough to explore how past experiences shape the present without pressure or judgement.
In our work, we may use techniques from models like ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to explore your thoughts and emotions. This helps you feel more grounded, build resilience, and reconnect with the values that matter most to you. You don’t need to have all the answers—you can simply come as you are.
Next Steps
If any of this resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you. Please feel free to get in touch to book a free 20-minute discovery call. This is a no-pressure space for us to connect and see how I can support you in navigating your current season.
