About me and my therapy practice
BACP Accredited Integrative Counsellor & Specialist Sight Loss Counsellor
I am an Accredited BACP Integrative Counsellor and a Specialist Sight Loss Counsellor. Rooted in Person-Centred theory, my practice is built on empathy and a belief in your capacity for healing. Based in Oldbury (B68), I work exclusively as a remote therapist, providing a safe, culturally-attuned digital space for adults and young people (16+) across the UK via online and telephone sessions.
A Comprehensive Approach to Wellbeing
I welcome those seeking support for:
* General Mental Health: Managing stress, anxiety, and low mood.
* Life Transitions: Grief, bereavement, relationship challenges, and identity changes.
* Specialist Support: Chronic health, Sight Loss (informed by lived experience), and Neurodiversity-affirming support (ADHD/Autism).
Clinical Specialization: Trauma & Chronic Health
I work psychotherapeutically in both short and long-term frameworks, specialising in complex trauma recovery (C-PTSD). For neurodivergent clients or those managing illness, we focus on deeper self-understanding and healing relational patterns, specifically addressing masking and burnout.
Integrative & Trauma-Informed Framework
My approach is tailored to your unique history:
* Internal Family Systems (IFS): My work is informed by IFS, helping you understand internal "parts" to foster self-compassion and unblending.
* Therapeutic Models: I incorporate Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis (TA), and CBT tools to provide a robust framework focused on emotional regulation.
Accessible & Inclusive Care
This is a neuro-affirmative and LGBTQ+ affirming space. My practice is delivered totally online and via telephone, offering flexibility for those balancing health or accessibility needs from home.
I offer a free 20-minute discovery call to discuss your needs and see how we might navigate your current season together. ✨
Practice description
Specialisms & Lived Experience
I specialise in complex trauma recovery (C-PTSD) and Neurodiversity-affirming support. Whether you are living with a chronic health condition, adjusting to sight loss, experiencing burnout, or carrying the weight of anxiety, stress, and low mood, I am here to help. I offer UK-wide online and telephone counselling for major life transitions, identity concerns, and relationship challenges.
I support adults and young people (16+) from all backgrounds, with a particular focus on marginalised communities. As an Accredited Sight Loss Counsellor and a committed ally, I provide Neurodiversity-affirming support. My work includes supporting individuals navigating disability, long-term health conditions, and sensory impairment. As a Black British Caribbean woman with lived experience of sight loss and a chronic health condition, I understand the importance of finding a therapist who truly understands the nuances of your identity and the challenges of an inaccessible world.
How We Move Forward
You don’t have to go through this alone. Rooted in Person-Centred principles, I work gently and respectfully at your pace. I offer a trauma-informed online/telephone space where you can feel safe enough to explore how past experiences shape the present without judgement.
In our work, we may use techniques from models like ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) alongside Internal Family Systems (IFS) to explore your thoughts and the different "parts" of your experience. This helps you feel more grounded, build resilience, and reconnect with the core values that matter most to you. You can simply come as you are from the comfort of your own space.
Next Steps
If any of this resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you. Please feel free to get in touch to book a free 20-minute discovery call. This is a no-pressure, online/telephone space for us to connect and see how I can support you in navigating your current season. ✨
