About me and my therapy practice

You may be holding things together on the outside, but inside you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, disconnected, or unsure of who you are or what you need.

Perhaps you’re someone whom others rely on, at work, in relationships, or in your family, and over time you’ve lost touch with yourself. Or maybe something has changed in your life, and you’re now ready to focus on your own needs.

I work with thoughtful adults who may be used to supporting others who are now looking for space to focus on themselves.

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist and an HCPC Registered Dramatherapist, with over 25 years’ experience supporting adults in therapeutic settings.

I specialise in supporting clients who may be be experiencing one or more of:

· feeling overwhelmed or burnt out

· loss of identity or sense of self

· life transitions (career change, midlife, menopause, empty nest)

· bereavement and loss

· relationship difficulties and boundaries

· people-pleasing and putting others first

· emotional disconnection or numbness

Clients often come to therapy feeling that, they are “holding it together” on the outside, while, internally feeling uncertain, stretched, or out of touch with themselves. Therapy offers a space to slow down and begin to create more meaning and understand these experiences more fully.

I offer a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and at your own pace. Together, we can explore your experiences, develop greater clarity, and reconnect with your needs, values, and sense of self.

As a trained dramatherapist, I can also offer you creative ways of working where helpful, particularly when experiences feel difficult to put into words. This is always optional, and we will work in the way that feels most comfortable for you.

If this resonates with you, you’re very welcome to get in touch for a free 20 minute introductory call.

Practice description

I offer individual counselling and psychotherapy for adults. Sessions are 50 minutes and usually take place weekly at a regular time, using a secure and confidential online platform.

Our first meeting provides an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you might be looking for, and whether working together feels right for you.

My approach is relational and reflective. This means we might explore patterns in your relationships, understand how past experiences are shaping your present, and help you develop clearer boundaries and a stronger sense of self. Clients often find they gain greater clarity, confidence, and a stronger connection to themselves.

As an HCPC registered Dramatherapist, I can also offer creative ways of working where helpful, using imagery, metaphor, or gentle experiential approaches when words are hard to find. This is always optional and guided by what feels comfortable for you.

I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy. Some clients come with a specific focus, while others choose to work more in depth around identity, self-worth, or relational patterns over time.

Confidentiality, ethical practice, and ongoing supervision and professional development are central to my work.
