About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Hayley a Psychotherapeutic counsellor :)
I am a Post graduate trained therapist and an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I am an AXA, aviva and vitality affiliated online psychotherapist.
I have both personal and professional experience of neuro diversity and trauma.
Within the rush of modern daily life, our emotional health is often neglected and this can begin to impact on our well being. I would like to offer you a safe space to sit and talk through whatever may be weighing heavy on your shoulders. I believe that what helps people, is the experience of being able to process feelings, emotions and memories with someone who is warm and empathic, and can gently offer insight.
I want you to feel safe and seen within the counselling relationship with me. It is not every day we share the most painful parts of ourselves with another person, and feel as though they truly understand, what it might have be like for us to go through a certain experience or feeling. I do find it helps people to gently reflect on their early lives, where they feel comfortable. I am also interested in exploring the deeper meaning of life with clients if that is something they wish to bring to therapy.
I believe that developing a compassionate way of relating to ourselves and our experiences is incredibly important, this will be reflected in our work together.
I have specific interest in the following areas:
- Autism & neurodiversity
-Adverse childhood experiences.
-Complex trauma.
-Inner child work.
- Chronic/invisible illness
-Highly sensitive people & empaths
-Young people (14+)
-Attachment challenges.
Practice description
I am currently working online via Zoom.
I am able and have worked with both adolescents(14+) and adults.
My training was a specialised training in Child and adolescent counselling, which means a lot of the theory was based on Attachment (our early relationships with our caregivers) and Psychodynamic theory (How our early life affect us).

-University mental health &ASD/ADHD mentor.
-Large City centre counselling organisation working with adults 18+.
- Youth charity organisation.
-Child and Adolescent counselling Psychotherapy service; with children from mainstream schools and those in special needs school and foster care.
Some of the presenting difficulties I’ve worked with: Anxiety, depression, Childhood trauma, feeling stuck in life, feeling confused as to what life is about, Panic attacks, divorce, loneliness, social anxiety, LGBTQ+, Chronic illness, Invisible illness, feeling highly sensitive, spiritual and religious issues, work stress, Low self-esteem, ASD & neurodiversity, grief and loss, Anger, bullying, stress, death and dying, eating disorders and so on.
