About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Katarzyna. I’m an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor, a Professional Coach (currently in certification), and a TIST Practitioner.

MY APPROACH

The focus of the work is on the current situation.

My approach is guided by an INTEGRATIVE APPROACH, meaning I draw from different therapeutic traditions. Employing a psychodynamic approach to explore how past experiences—particularly early relationships—continue

to influence your thoughts, emotions, and interactions with others today.

Uncovering repetitive patterns and coping strategies that may no longer serve you, helping you make more conscious choices and feel more in control. The transpersonal approach not only helps in healing emotional pain but also in evolving into a new version of yourself, one that is aligned with your values, feelings, and deep longings. Your challenges are seen not only as difficulties, but also as invitations for growth. I use a trauma-informed approach (Trauma-Informed Stabilisation Treatment developed by Dr Janina Fisher). It focuses on attending different parts of you — even those that feel reactive, stuck, or self-sabotaging — with care and compassion. This approach understands that trauma affects both the mind and the body, and helps you feel safer and manage the sense of overwhelm. Through systemic lenses, I also consider the broader context: your family system, culture, faith background, and transgenerational experiences, all of which contribute to who you are and how you interact with the world. Other theories which inform my practice include findings from Attachment Theory, neuroscience, Emotional Intelligence and others.

I am a Registered Member of the BACP (MBACP), an Accredited Member of the UKCP, and I'm also registered with ICO (Information Commissioner's Office).

I work with Employee Assistance Programmes (Workplace People's Options) and private insurance providers (AXA, WPA).

Practice description

I hold a Master’s Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute, London, awarded in 2022, and a Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling completed in 2020. My training at Metanoia provided a strong foundation in integrative and relational psychotherapy, grounded in clinical practice.

I continue to expand my therapeutic approach through specialist training. In 2023, I completed Trauma-Informed Stabilisation Treatment training. In 2025, I completed training at the Silent Family Constellation School, founded by Gerhard Wallper, as well as training at Hellinger Schule. I am currently in the process of certification with The Institute for Woman-Centred Coaching, Training and Leadership.

Before this, I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy with a specialisation in Social Rehabilitation at Rzeszów University in Poland in 2015. Earlier in my professional development, I obtained a Diploma in Integrative Counselling with a focus on Addiction Recovery from the Psychology Applied Institute in Katowice, Poland, in 2012.

My journey began several years ago in Poland, where I started building my experience through volunteering. I was working with young people from families navigating difficult circumstances.

My experience continued in London, where I have lived, studied and worked for the past 10 years. My professional journey began in adult recovery services, followed by roles in gender-based violence services, including domestic violence support, where I also stepped into a managerial role. While working in these sectors, I was simultaneously in training for counselling and psychotherapy.

This path led me to establish my own practice, which has since expanded to include coaching.

In addition to counselling, psychotherapy, and Trauma-Informed Stabilisation Treatment, I created Thrive Abroad – Coaching for female Expats in Transition — a dedicated programme for expat and migrant women navigating change, displacement, and uncertainty.
