About me and my therapy practice
I’m a relational, trauma-informed, and integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, rooted in the philosophy of the person-centred approach. I work with adult men and women, offering a calm and caring space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and supported — just as you are.
My work is guided by empathy, curiosity, and deep respect for each person’s unique experience. I draw on psychodynamic understanding, somatic trauma therapy, creative exploration, and practical CBT tools to meet you where you are and support you in the way that feels right for you.
Within a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental environment, I support people who are struggling with anxiety, low mood, depression, or the effects of trauma and difficult life experiences. I also work with those seeking deeper self-understanding, healing, or personal growth.
Sometimes life can feel heavy, confusing, or overwhelming. Therapy can be a place to pause — to take a breath, explore what’s happening inside, and begin to make sense of it all, gently and at your own pace.
Practice description
My work is trauma-informed and integrative, which means I draw from different therapeutic approaches to best support you. I combine humanistic, person-centred values with psychodynamic and somatic methods to help you understand yourself more deeply — both emotionally and physically.
I am particularly experienced in working with inner-child work and body-based (somatic) approaches to help clients process and release shame, guilt, and unresolved trauma.
You set the pace of our work together, and I will always respect your readiness and boundaries. My aim is to be alongside you — listening, reflecting, and helping you access your own insight and resilience.
I also offer psychoeducation where appropriate, helping you make sense of how your past may be influencing your present and supporting you in finding new ways of relating to yourself and others.
My first session
Your first session is a gentle space for us to get to know each other as it is important to see whether we feel like a good fit. You are welcome to use this space to share a bit about yourself and what has brought you to therapy, or you can start talking straight away about whatever feels most pressing.
I may ask a few questions about your background, recent mood, or what you’re currently finding difficult, but there is no set agenda—we can simply follow what feels most helpful.
Together, we can explore what you hope to gain from counselling, any goals you have, and how you would like us to work together going forward.
