About me and my therapy practice
About Me
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming. You may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, stress, loss, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, or simply feeling that something isn't quite right. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to face it alone.
Choosing a counsellor can feel like a big step, and I believe finding someone you feel comfortable with is one of the most important parts of the therapeutic process. I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, feel heard and begin to make sense of whatever you are experiencing.
I am a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist, working with adults and young people aged 14 and over. Alongside my private practice, I have extensive experience supporting clients within schools and charitable organisations, helping people through a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
My approach is integrative, meaning I tailor therapy to you rather than expecting you to fit one particular model. At the heart of my work is Person-Centred Therapy, creating a relationship built on trust, empathy and acceptance. I also draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy where these approaches may help deepen understanding, develop healthier coping strategies and create lasting change.
I understand that every person's story is unique. Together we will work at your pace, exploring your thoughts, feelings and experiences in a way that feels safe and manageable. Whether you are looking for short-term support around a specific issue or longer-term therapy to understand deeper patterns, our work will always be guided by your individual needs and goals.
Many of the clients I work with come feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Therapy offers the opportunity to understand these patterns, build resilience, strengthen self-awareness and develop healthier ways of moving forward.
Practice description
I offer face-to-face counselling from my private practice in a calm, comfortable and confidential cabin, as well as secure online sessions for clients across the UK.
Sessions are available Monday to Friday, with daytime and evening appointments to help fit around work, study and family commitments.
I work with young people aged 14 and over, as well as adults of all ages, supporting a wide range of emotional and mental health concerns including:
- Anxiety and panic
- Depression and low mood
- Stress and burnout
- Bereavement and bereaved by suicide
- Trauma
- Low self-esteem and confidence
- Relationship difficulties
- Life transitions
- Identity and self-discovery
- Work-related stress
- Emotional regulation
- Young people's mental health
Therapy is not about giving advice or telling you what to do. It is about working together to understand your experiences, develop new perspectives and help you feel more able to cope with life's challenges.
I usually recommend weekly sessions, particularly at the beginning of therapy, as this provides consistency and helps build the therapeutic relationship. However, we will always discuss what feels right for you.

My first session
First Session
I offer a free 20-minute introductory telephone call where we can discuss what has brought you to therapy, answer any questions you may have and see whether we feel we are the right fit to work together.
If you decide to proceed, our first full session gives us the opportunity to explore your current situation, what you hope to gain from counselling and how we can work together. There is no pressure or obligation—finding the right therapist is important, and I encourage you to choose so someone you feel comfortable with.
