About me and my therapy practice

At times, something in us carries more than we can easily put into words. This may show up as anxiety, overwhelm, disconnection, or difficulties in relationships. Therapy can offer a space to pause, reflect, and begin to make sense of these experiences at your own pace.

I am a trauma-informed therapist with over 28 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. My work is grounded in a person-centred approach and informed by an integrative use of relational, somatic, and creative modalities.

I work with a range of difficulties including anxiety, emotional overwhelm, the impact of trauma (including complex and relational trauma), and relationship difficulties. My work is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) (Levels 1 & 2; IFIO trained) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Level 1, with ongoing Level 2 training), alongside creative approaches such as sandplay and play therapy. I also draw on a long-standing practice in yoga and mindfulness.

I have extensive experience working with families, particularly in the context of adoption, which informs my understanding of attachment and relational development. I also offer work with couples (IFIO-informed), approached with care and transparency.

Sessions are available online and, where possible, in person (London). I work in line with the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Practice description

I offer a calm, respectful, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experience at your own pace. My approach is collaborative and grounded in a person-centred way of working, with attention to safety, relationship, and emotional process.

Sessions may include talking, as well as gentle awareness of emotions, body sensations, and patterns of relating. This can support greater understanding, emotional regulation, and the possibility of new ways of responding.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families, supporting difficulties such as anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, and relationship challenges.

I offer an initial conversation to explore what brings you and whether this feels like a good fit.

My first session

I offer an initial session at my standard fee. This is an opportunity for us to begin to explore what brings you to therapy, and for you to get a sense of how it feels to work with me.

There is no formal assessment process. Instead, I take a gentle and collaborative approach, allowing space for you to share at your own pace. We may explore what you would like support with, any relevant background, and what you are hoping for from therapy.

I will also outline how I work, including practical aspects such as confidentiality, boundaries, and how sessions are structured, so that you have a clear understanding of the therapeutic process.

You are welcome to ask any questions, and there is no expectation to commit to ongoing sessions unless it feels right for you.

If we decide to continue, we will agree together how to work in a way that feels manageable and supportive.

Supervisor - London

London SW16
Sessions from £85.00

Features

  • Flexible hours available
  • Concessionary rates

Availability

I currently have limited availability for new supervisees. Please feel free to get in touch to enquire about current spaces.

I offer supervision during weekdays, with some flexibility depending on availability. Sessions are available online and, where possible, in person (London).

If I am unable to offer a space at this time, I will do my best to suggest alternative options where appropriate.

About me and my therapy practice

Supervision as a space to think, feel, and make sense of the clinical process—particularly in moments of complexity, uncertainty, or “not knowing.”

I offer clinical supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists, and professionals in the helping professions (including psychologists), working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.

My approach is grounded in a person-centred foundation and informed by an integrative use of relational, somatic, and creative modalities. I offer a reflective space where you can explore clinical thinking, relational dynamics, and your internal responses to the work.

My work is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) (Levels 1 & 2; IFIO trained) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Level 1, with ongoing Level 2 training), alongside creative approaches.

I have extensive experience supervising practitioners across modalities and levels of experience, both in the UK and internationally. I am an approved clinical supervisor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and the British Association of Play Therapists, and I am also recognised as a supervisor by the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses.

I also deliver training in Clinical Supervision in Portugal.

Practice description

I offer a collaborative and reflective supervision space, where you can explore your clinical work in depth. Supervision may include discussion of cases, ethical considerations, relational dynamics, and your internal responses to the work.

I work in a way that is both reflective and experiential. Where helpful, I integrate creative and embodied approaches (e.g. use of objects, symbolic or spatial exploration) to support understanding and new perspectives.

This approach may be particularly helpful for practitioners who are interested in relational, creative, and embodied ways of working, and who are open to exploring complexity and uncertainty.

I work with both trainees and qualified practitioners, and we can shape the focus of supervision according to your needs and stage of development.

My first session

I offer an initial supervision session at my standard fee. This is an opportunity for us to begin to explore your work, your needs in supervision, and what you are looking for from the process.

There is no formal assessment. Instead, I take a collaborative and reflective approach, allowing space for you to share your current work, context, and any areas where you would like support. We may begin to think together about clinical material, as well as your experience of the work.

I will also outline how I work, including practical aspects such as confidentiality, boundaries, and the structure and frequency of supervision, so that you have a clear understanding of the process.

You are welcome to ask any questions, and there is no expectation to commit to ongoing supervision unless it feels like a good fit.

If we decide to continue, we will agree together how to work in a way that supports your development and practice.
