I am a qualified and experienced integrative counsellor with over 9 years of experience. Having a consistent track record of working successfully with individuals, ranging from young children to adults to families and groups. All within a variety of settings and backgrounds. I offer therapy to all.

I am committed to delivering client-centred support, that gradually empowers individuals and enables them to make informed decisions. I have a sound knowledge of theoretical counselling approaches and their application to real-world settings. I am patient, compassionate and strive to deeply understand the complexity of the client's challenges.

I have extensive experience with providing therapy with neurodiverse clients, such as ADHD and autism, as well as being neurodiverse myself. Whilst working as a counsellor, I have provided bereavement and palliative counselling, working at Macmillan, Beechwood and Gaddum children and family bereavement services. I was an integrative counsellor and CBT therapist for Respect For All, which provides counselling for people with Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and their carers. My experience also includes working with depression, anxiety, anger management, poor self-esteem, post-natal depression, eating disorders, personality disorder, schizophrenia, self-harm, suicide intention, OCD, Bi polar, autism, ADHD, trauma, bereavement, PTSD, loss of children, relationship difficulties, hearing voices, self-harm, body dysmorphic disorder, PTSD and OCD.

I have regularly facilitated groups including social anxiety, depression and anxiety. My major strengths are to be able to motivate individuals and facilitate their increased independence through either one to one, couples or group work. I offer my services online and telephone. Face to face can also be arranged. I offer walk and talk as well.

About me and my therapy practice

Having the right space to talk can make even the heaviest experiences feel more manageable.

I am an experienced integrative therapist with over nine years of clinical work across diverse settings, supporting primary-aged children, young people and adults, as well as couples and families.

I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable. My aim is to provide a gentle, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and feel accepted. I believe therapy is not a “one size fits all” approach — each person’s experiences and challenges are unique, and support should be shaped around that. I work collaboratively, adapting therapy to your needs rather than applying a fixed model.

As an integrative therapist, I am trained and experienced in counselling, EMDR, CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, hypnotherapy and creative approaches. This breadth allows me to tailor our work carefully and at a pace that feels right for you.

I have supported clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, self-harm, domestic abuse, bereavement and relationship difficulties. I have also worked with women affected by pregnancy loss and those undergoing fertility treatment, including IVF, as well as individuals living with long-term health conditions such as Crohn’s disease, colitis and coeliac disease, supporting the emotional impact of chronic illness.

This is not an exhaustive list, and I welcome enquiries from individuals experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties.

I practise in a trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming way, with extensive experience supporting autistic and ADHD children and adults. As someone who is neurodiverse myself, I understand the importance of therapy that feels accessible and aligned with how you experience the world.

Above all, I offer a calm and nurturing environment where you can begin to make sense of your experiences and move forward with greater confidence and resilience.

Practice description

I work with children (from primary age), adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, family separation and divorce, domestic abuse recovery, addiction-related difficulties, emotional regulation challenges and low self-esteem.

My background includes NHS Talking Therapies, Macmillan, Beechwood Cancer Care, Gaddum children and family bereavement services, Respect for All, Beacon Counselling, school settings and drug and alcohol services. I have also worked therapeutically with individuals affected by domestic abuse and family separation, supporting people through trauma, bereavement, addiction, relationship breakdown and significant life transitions.

Sessions are thoughtfully paced and guided by your goals. I balance emotional exploration with practical support, helping you build insight alongside tools you can use in everyday life. Depending on your needs, therapy may integrate CBT, EMDR, Compassion Focused Therapy or creative approaches when working with children and young people.

I offer one-to-one therapy and, where appropriate, family support. Sessions are available online, by telephone, face-to-face (by arrangement) and via walk-and-talk therapy.

My first session

The first session is a gentle introduction to working together. It gives you space to share what has brought you to therapy and what you hope might feel different.

I will ask some background questions so I can understand your experiences more fully, and where appropriate, may use brief evidence-based measures to help guide our focus. With children and young people, I may initially meet with parents or carers to understand the wider picture.

We will talk through confidentiality and how sessions will work. There is no obligation to continue — it is important that you feel safe and comfortable before deciding to proceed.
