Hello, and a warm welcome.

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, struggling with anxiety, carrying the impact of past experiences, facing relationship difficulties, or simply feeling that something isn't quite right, you don't have to face it alone.

Life is a journey with many different seasons. Each season brings its own ups and downs, expected and unexpected changes, and unique transitions. These experiences look and feel different for everyone, and at times it can be helpful to have someone alongside you as you navigate them.

It would be a privilege to walk alongside you for part of your journey. 

I am a warm, compassionate and approachable Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist who cares deeply about supporting people to heal from emotional and psychological pain and suffering. Whatever has brought you to therapy, I genuinely want to support you in making sense of your experiences, reducing emotional distress, making positive changes, or seeking personal growth.

I believe that healing begins with understanding and compassion.

Over the past 15 years, I have worked across Local Authority services, the NHS, CAMHS, charitable organisations and private practice. During this time, I have supported adults, families and professionals experiencing trauma, relationship difficulties,  parenting challenges, loss, cultural issues and significant life transitions, etc

I have a particular interest in working with adults who continue to feel the impact of difficult childhood experiences and traumas. I also support parents who wish to better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships with their children, and break patterns of generational trauma.

These three words sit at the heart of the way I work.

I offer integrative counselling and psychotherapy for adults and couples. I do not believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Each person is unique, so I tailor the way I work to your individual needs, experiences and goals.

I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including person-centred, psychodynamic, humanistic, CBT-informed and relational ways of working. My approach is trauma-informed, which means I am mindful of how past experiences may continue to shape how you feel, think and relate in the present.

My work is relational and holistic. I aim to offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can begin to explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences with curiosity and compassion, rather than criticism or self-blame.

My hope is that through our work together, you'll gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your situation, feel more empowered, and develop the confidence and practical tools to make the changes that are important to you. Along the way, we'll work towards building emotional resilience, strengthening your relationships, and creating meaningful and lasting change that continues beyond the therapy room.

Alongside individual therapy, I work with couples who wish to improve communication, rebuild trust, strengthen their emotional connection, or navigate periods of conflict and change. Couples sessions are 75 minutes, allowing both partners the time and space to feel heard and understood.

My first session

I understand that starting therapy can feel both hopeful and daunting, so I aim to make the process as comfortable and straightforward as possible.

Before your first session, I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions about counselling, discuss what has brought you to therapy, and explore whether we feel like the right fit to work together.

If you decide to proceed, we will arrange an initial assessment session online. For individuals, this lasts 60 minutes. For couples, the assessment and ongoing sessions are 75 minutes.

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another. We will explore what has brought you to therapy, your current situation, and what you hope to gain from our work together. There is no pressure to share everything at once; we will work at a pace that feels right for you.

Together, we will also consider how we might work together going forward and whether short-term or longer-term therapy would best support your needs.

My aim is to offer a calm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you feel heard, respected and understood from the very beginning.
