About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can take time to explore what’s happening in your life and at your own pace.
I work with people who may be navigating significant life changes such as divorce or separation, estrangement, retirement, redundancy, or changes in health. These experiences can bring uncertainty, a sense of loss, and questions about identity, direction and what comes next.
My approach is collaborative and centred around you. Together, we can begin to make sense of your experience, whilst gently exploring patterns and themes that may sit beneath the surface. Making these connections can help bring clarity, particularly at times when life feels disrupted or unsettled.
Practice description
Working in an integrative and relational way, I adapt my approach to your individual needs. I aim to balance sensitivity with curiosity, supporting you to approach difficult topics in a way that feels manageable, encouraging meaningful and lasting change.
Whether you are looking for support through a specific transition, or a longer-term space to process and adjust, we can find a way of working that feels right for you.
My first session
Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, particularly if you’re going through a period of change or uncertainty. The initial session is a chance for us to meet and begin to get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
There is no expectation to share everything straight away. We can go at a pace that feels comfortable, starting with whatever feels most important for you to talk about. I may ask some gentle questions to understand what has brought you to counselling and what you might be hoping for from the space.
I will also explain how I work, including practical aspects such as confidentiality, session structure and how we might work together going forward.
There will be space for you to ask questions and to see how it feels to work together. You can then decide, in your own time, whether you would like to continue.
