I aim to respond to your inquiry within 48 hours
About me and my therapy practice
I offer an integrative approach that brings together therapeutic counselling and coaching, informed by my background in psychology. My aim is to create a thoughtful, supportive space where you can slow down, feel heard, and understand yourself more deeply. From this place of understanding, motivation for change can grow naturally, helping you move forward in ways that feel authentic and sustainable.
My way of working begins with you — your experiences, your reality, and what it feels like to be you. I invite you to share what’s going on, how you experience yourself and others, and what feels meaningful in your life.
We decide together what feels most relevant in each session. This may change over time and often becomes clearer as we talk. Some people notice themes running through our work, while others gain insight or closure within one or two sessions and move on to what matters most next.
I listen carefully and gently explore what your experiences mean, how you think and respond, and how your ways of being serve you — or don’t. A central part of our work is exploring authenticity: what it means to live in ways that feel true to who you are.
We may look at internal and external pressures, such as expectations, social norms, and internalised messages, and how these influence your choices. Together, we consider whether these still fit and what feels more aligned.
My role is not to direct or fix, but to walk alongside you — supporting deeper self-understanding, meaningful insight, and the freedom to make choices that feel right. If change happens, it grows naturally from this process.
We can meet in person, online, or by telephone, choosing together what best fits your circumstances, comfort, and what you hope to gain from our work.
You remain in control of what you share, the pace we move at, and what feels right for you. I offer a respectful, collaborative space where exploration, reflection, and movement can unfold in a way that suits you.
Practice description
I hold an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, a Master’s degree in Organisational Psychology, alongside advanced training in Coaching and Pluralistic Therapy. I am a registered member of the BACP, BPS, and the Association for Coaching, and I’m committed to ongoing professional development to ensure my work remains thoughtful, ethical, and informed by current understanding in psychology and therapeutic practice.
Alongside my formal training, I have six years’ experience working as a therapeutic counsellor, supporting adults with a broad range of emotional, relational, and psychological concerns. My work has included supporting people through periods of change, stress, loss, identity exploration, relationship difficulties, and challenges linked to self-worth and life direction.
I bring over twelve years’ experience supporting people in a coaching capacity across a wide range of life and work situations. This has involved working with individuals from varied professional backgrounds, life stages, and personal circumstances, supporting them with clarity, confidence, wellbeing, and personal development.
In addition, I have seven years’ experience working as a psychologist in applied settings, where I’ve translated psychological theory into practical, everyday support for both organisations and individuals. This has given me a strong foundation in understanding human behaviour in real-world contexts and in offering support that is both psychologically informed and grounded in lived experience.
Across all of these roles, I have worked with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences, and with a wide range of ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. This breadth of experience allows me to meet you as an individual, rather than assuming a one-size-fits-all approach, and to adapt our work in a way that feels respectful, relevant, and supportive of you.
My first session
In our first session together, my priority is to create a warm and welcoming space where you feel truly safe, deeply heard, and fully supported. I understand that reaching out for counselling can be a big step, and I want you to know that this is your time, your space, and your journey.
In this first meeting, we’ll take some time to get to know each other. You can share as much or as little as you’re ready to, and we’ll gently explore what’s brought you to counselling, what you might be hoping to gain, and how I can best support you. Together, we’ll start to shape a path forward that feels meaningful and empowering for you.
More than anything, I want you to feel supported as you take this brave step. This is your space to be you, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you navigate whatever challenges or questions you’re facing.
