About me and my therapy practice

I offer a supportive and accepting space where you can talk openly and be heard about whatever it is that is bringing you to counselling. I understand that starting counselling can feel difficult, particularly when you are dealing with experiences that are painful or hard to make sense of. I will work with you at your pace, focusing on what matters most to you and supporting you to move towards what feels important.

My approach is flexible and shaped around your individual needs. Some people want space to talk and process their thoughts and feelings, while others are looking for more structure or understanding. We can work together in a way that feels useful and manageable for you. As such, I can offer regular weekly or fortnightly sessions and can also offer one-off sessions on a more flexible basis.

Overall, I aim to provide a calm and supportive space where you can begin to make sense of your experiences and feel less alone in them.

Practice description

I have specialist experience supporting those navigating fertility challenges, fertility treatment, and family planning, as well as miscarriage, medical termination, and pregnancy, baby and infant loss. I recognise how complex and often isolating these experiences can be, and I offer a space where they can be explored safely and openly. I have experience working with a range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, stress, and life transitions.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer clinical supervision for counsellors and other professional practitioners (including mental health and wellbeing advisors, safeguarding practitioners, and caseworkers) with particular experience supporting those working in higher education and multi-agency settings. I provide a reflective, supportive space where you can think openly about your work, explore challenges, and feel contained in the demands of your role.

My professional background spans over ten years across NHS, voluntary sector, and higher education settings, including managing a team of mental health advisors within a large university. I bring extensive experience of working in mental health and safeguarding roles, alongside a strong understanding of risk, complex decision-making, and the pressures of working within often stretched systems.

My aim is to offer a steady, thoughtful supervision space that supports both your professional development and your wellbeing; helping you to feel more confident, grounded, and supported in your work.

Practice description

My supervision model is grounded in the Seven-Eyed Model, which I use as a flexible, relational framework to explore client work, practitioner experience, and the wider systemic context. I work in an integrative, trauma-informed way, creating a psychologically safe space where both the clinical and emotional aspects of the work can be brought, including uncertainty, complexity, and the personal impact of supporting others.

I bring a dual perspective shaped by both therapeutic and casework-based practice, allowing me to support a range of roles, from those working in ongoing therapeutic relationships to those focused on assessment, safeguarding, and risk management. I aim to balance reflective, restorative space with appropriate challenge, supporting thoughtful, confident decision-making in complex situations.

Cultural humility and sensitivity are central to my practice. I actively invite reflection on how identity, culture, and systemic factors shape both client work and professional responses, supporting supervision that is inclusive, anti-oppressive, and responsive to diverse experiences.

Alongside my broader work, I have a specialist interest in fertility, pregnancy, and baby loss, and welcome supervisees working in these areas or encountering this within their practice.
