About me and my therapy practice

I offer counselling sessions outdoors - walking or sitting in the various parks in the Teddington/Richmond/Kingston area or along the riverside (wheelchair routes available). I will listen to you, without judgement, and enable you to work with your concerns/anxiety/trauma. I believe in the efficacy of face to face relational communication and the importance of embedding ourselves within the wider context of nature. This leads to holistic, embodied mind and body development.

Having previously worked as a massage therapist, I am interested in how the body holds stresses and the embodiment of psychological change. I use mindfulness techniques, promoting body awareness and acceptance.

In our sessions I offer a relational approach in which you can explore your issues with autonomy and respect. I will listen to you, allowing space for reflection and insight. I will support your experience, and together we will find a pathway to change.

I offer a free initial telephone conversation in which we will discuss what you would like to gain from counselling and what I can offer. We will agree on a suitable time and location to meet. Our subsequent sessions will be outdoors, experiencing nature in all seasons. I offer long-term and short-term therapy.

I am committed to the BACP ethical framework, and work openly encompassing cultural, gender- and neuro-diversity.
