About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced integrative therapist with over a decade of clinical practice. My work is grounded in person-centred principles and informed by an understanding of attachment and trauma, recognising how early relationships and life experiences can shape the way we experience ourselves and others.
I work alongside people experiencing addiction (including the impact on partners and families), depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties and breakdown, bereavement and grief, and complex family dynamics. I also work with issues relating to low self-esteem, shame and significant life transitions.
I work confidently with neurodivergent clients, adapting pace and approach to the individual and respecting each person’s unique way of processing and relating.
Practice description
I offer a warm, steady and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and at your own pace. My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed, meaning I am mindful of how overwhelming experiences can affect the nervous system, relationships and sense of self. We will move at a pace that feels manageable and safe.
I believe you are the expert in your own experience. I will not tell you what to do, but I may gently offer reflections or observations to help you see things more clearly. Together, we can explore present difficulties while also considering the deeper patterns that may sit beneath them.
My aim is to support you in developing greater self-understanding, emotional steadiness and a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute introductory zoom call so we can briefly connect and see whether working together feels like the right fit.
In our first full session, we will take time to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you would like to focus on. This helps us build a clear understanding of your current concerns and any relevant background, so that our work feels purposeful and grounded from the beginning.
There is no pressure to share more than you feel ready to. My intention is to ensure you feel heard, respected and grounded from the outset.
