Hello, my name is Kirk and I am a BACP accredited trauma-informed Integrative Counsellor.
I am currently offering remote counselling sessions via Online or Telephone which will be priced at £40 per session.

I have been working one-to-one with adult clients for the past 7 years.
I have completed a vast array of Continued Personal and Professional Development training in order to develop and enhance my current skills, and to learn and develop new skills to help meet my current and future client's needs.
My qualifications include:
Queen's University BSc (Honours) Psychology Degree.
Ulster University Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Studies and Therapeutic Communication.
Ulster University Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling Practice.
Queen's University accredited Trauma and Addictions training course through WAVE Trauma Centre.

My way of working is from a person-centred perspective as I believe we all have the capacity for change to occur. I also integrate CBT techniques and Psychodynamic thinking to help collaborate with clients to help meet their needs.
Sessions will be 50 minutes long.
I will offer a free 15 minutes phone call with new clients as a pre-assessment session to have chat to see if I can provide the appropriate service to help meet your needs based on my training, skills and competencies in line with the BACP Ethical Framework.
I will collaborate with you and gently challenge you to help you work towards achieving your goals but I will do this with empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regards for you at all times.
My first session
In the initial session, I will contract with you, and explain the process of counselling and limits to confidentiality.
I will get an in-depth history of you, your life and the presenting issues that have brought you to counselling.
We will set an agenda and prioritise your issues and agree on a plan of action together that is suitable for you to engage with to ensure the focus is always on helping to meet your needs and to address what is most important to you
