About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I am Erin.
I offer sessions online and in person from several locations in north and central Leeds. Weekly and fortnightly sessions are available on a short term or long term basis.
I offer a compassionate, down to earth and non-judgemental space where we can work together to look at what brought you to therapy.
I believe in the power of being heard and sharing the weight of difficult experiences and their impact and I am here to support with past experiences, current uncertainty, fears, worries and anger and everything else in-between. I have seven years experience working with client in various setting including in schools, for charities and therapy centres.
Practice description
I work integratively which means I use different modalities and interventions depending on what you want and need. I believe a safe, empathic and trusting relationship is at the heart of effective therapy and we will work at a pace that is right for you, in a way that takes into account you as a whole person. I will always be open about my processes, experience and the limits of my capability. I am experienced at working creatively and use creative interventions to support our work if useful.
My first session
Reaching out is a vulnerable thing to do and I really understand how difficult finding the right support can be. I am passionate about offering personal, useful and meaningful support. To help you work out if we might be a good fit, I offer a free 20-30 minute phone consultation to gather an understanding of what you might want and need and for you to learn a bit about the way I work.
When we meet online or in person I will gather some information about your past and current experiences and gain an understanding of what has brought you to therapy now so we can work together to make sure you we work together is way that helps you to get what you need from therapy. We will also go through my counselling agreement in this session and I will answer any questions you might have.
