I work from home face to face. By phone, Zoom and WhatsApp.
If you live local to me I’m happy to come to you if that suits you better.
I work full time in private practice from 9.30am - 8.30pm and people can book in through my website or by email or text.
About me and my therapy practice
Life can be a little tricky at times. Sometimes we all need help to get through. Talking to someone who is trained to listen and who wants to listen can really help. Friends and family are great, but maybe sometimes we need a different perspective….or we may want privacy, confidentiality and somewhere we can speak it out and leave it. Somewhere where we are heard and understood with not repercussions.
There are so many different theories and approaches in psychotherapy now that it can be a bit much trying to figure out what may work for you. Finding the right therapist is a good place to start because the therapeutic relationship, or the is imperative. The relationship is the therapy.
I do offer a variety of approaches to therapy. The often well known CBT, Person centred, solution focused, psychodynamic etc…but also systems theory, transactional analysis, attachment theory, existential therapy and some others. I integrate and work the theory around you.
I work in personal growth, identity, and self awareness as well as the modern day mental health challenges like anxiety, stress, overwhelm, depression. I am very experienced in working with trauma, abuse, grief and loss attachment and mental health diagnosis’…..neurodivergence, gender diversity and polyamory.
I am a relationship therapist too, so I’m happy to work with two of you in all these aspects of diversities and explore how previous experiences and mental health difficulties may be impacting the relationship. Relationship health is about communication yes, but also the pain and experiences we carry greatly affect us and those we live with.

Do you find yourself repeating the same patterns..(?)perhaps Psychodynamic thinking….
Or does that critical voice in your head just never shut up? CBT….maybe..
Or maybe you feel like you’re in a situation where the circumstances around you, or the people, create a feeling of being stuck..trapped..maybe systems theory..(?)
What about anxiety….panic…does it grip you and feel like it’s never going to let you go? …perhaps re parenting yourself or not feeling anxious about feeling anxious…possibly looking at self compassion rather than self berating….or even sub personalities may help…
Maybe your mental health has never been great and you have no expectations of better?…exploring attachment may help…
Or what if you’ve just discovered you don’t really trust people, or you don’t know who you are since you’ve lost a loved one or a relationship has ended…identity…
Maybe you’re burned out (it can feel a lot like depression)… or you’re irritable and angry a lot (that could be depression)… I have the theory and I will share my thoughts with you and see what you think. I will work with you and with your goals, or I’m happy to work without goals if the thought of them overwhelms you, or you just want to talk.
I will work with you and share my thinking and professional knowledge to help find a way through.
Sometimes trauma, loss, illness and difficulties can influence us into unhelpful ways of relating to ourselves and others. We’re full of stress, hypervigilance, and we’re reactive, we don’t really know why….
When we know how we think and why we think it, we can begin to make different choices and enjoy incredible personal growth, purpose and fulfilment.
This is the place where we find our future can be a positive place and we can develop resilience, emotional strength and good awareness of our boundaries and how they can protect us and others.
My first session
For the first session I charge a discounted rate of £35 and you can decide if you want to work with me. Then it’s £50. If this is a problem we can talk it through.
For couples counselling the fee is £60.
I do offer concessions so please get in touch.
It’s really important to find a counsellor who you feel you can work with and be vulnerable with, and if it’s not me please look for another and don’t give up.
I work openly with clients and explain ideas and theories, and ask for feedback as to how the sessions are working and what you need from me…it’s important to know you can trust your counsellor enough to say “I don’t agree with that…”
The first session we talk and explore what’s going on for you. Then you decide if my thinking and approach is something you want more of. 😊
