About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Practitioner, and Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner. I work with children, young people, and adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including trauma, sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bereavement, relationship and family issues, neurodiversity, life transitions, and complex emotional needs. I provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, respected, and supported. My practice is wheelchair accessible, and I welcome clients from all backgrounds, cultures, identities, and lived experiences.
My approach is integrative, with a person-centred foundation. Rather than following one therapeutic model, I tailor therapy to your individual needs. I may incorporate psychoeducation, mindfulness, creative approaches, and evidence-informed techniques to help you better understand your emotions, thoughts, behaviours, and relationships. We will work collaboratively, at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you.
I believe that trauma affects everyone differently, and healing begins when we can explore our experiences with compassion rather than judgement. Whether you are struggling with recent events or long-standing difficulties, I will support you in making sense of your experiences, recognising unhelpful patterns, developing healthier coping strategies, and building resilience and self-awareness. Therapy is not about fixing you; it is about helping you reconnect with your strengths and move towards a more fulfilling life.
Where appropriate, I incorporate creative approaches to support self-expression when words are difficult to find. Above all, I believe therapy is built on a trusting relationship where you feel accepted, understood, and empowered to create meaningful, lasting change.
Practice description
I offer a safe, confidential, and compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels right for you. I work with children, young people, and adults, supporting a wide range of concerns, including trauma (including rape and sexual abuse), bereavement, suicide loss, anxiety, depression, PTSD, low self-esteem, relationship and family challenges, parenting difficulties, and the pressures of everyday life.
I also have experience working with neurodivergent clients and those living with a range of mental health conditions, including autism, ADHD, bipolar disorder, emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD/BPD), psychosis, and learning disabilities. I strive to create an inclusive, non-judgemental environment where your individuality is respected, and therapy is tailored to your unique needs and goals.
My integrative approach combines a person-centred foundation with other therapeutic approaches to support your emotional wellbeing. Together, we will work to deepen your understanding of yourself, make sense of difficult experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and strengthen your emotional resilience. I believe therapy is not about changing who you are, but about helping you reconnect with your strengths, process life's challenges, and move towards a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
Alongside counselling, I offer Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), or tapping therapy, which combines gentle tapping on acupressure points with therapeutic conversation to help regulate the nervous system and reduce emotional distress. I also offer Matrix Reimprinting, an advanced form of EFT that helps process the emotional impact of past experiences, fostering self-compassion and healthier perspectives.
My first session
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, so I aim to make our first session welcoming, relaxed, and supportive. Our initial appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, and what you hope to achieve, helping us decide whether my approach is the right fit for your needs.
The first session is also your opportunity to ask questions about the therapeutic process and discuss any worries or expectations you may have. Together, we'll consider how we can work collaboratively and agree on goals that feel meaningful and achievable for you.
If we decide to continue working together, we'll go through our counselling agreement, which explains important aspects of our work, including confidentiality, session length, fees, cancellations, and our shared responsibilities within the therapeutic relationship.
Above all, the first session is about creating a safe and trusting foundation. There is no expectation to share everything straight away—we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, ensuring you feel heard, respected, and supported from the very beginning.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Clinical Supervisor offering a collaborative, supportive, and reflective space where you can explore your clinical work, develop your practice, and grow in confidence. My supervisory approach is grounded in person-centred values and informed by an integrative perspective, recognising that every practitioner has unique strengths, learning styles, and professional needs.
With over 7 years' experience as an integrative counsellor, I have worked with children, young people, and adults across a variety of settings. My experience includes trauma, sexual abuse, neurodiversity, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and complex emotional and mental health needs, enabling me to support practitioners working with a broad range of client presentations.
I see supervision as a collaborative process that promotes ethical, safe, and effective practice while supporting your professional development and wellbeing. Alongside case discussion, I encourage reflective practice, self-awareness, curiosity, and creativity, providing space to explore challenges, celebrate successes, and consider the impact of the work on both you and your clients.
I welcome trainee and qualified counsellors, as well as practitioners from related helping professions where my experience is relevant. I understand that choosing a supervisor is an important decision, and I value relationships built on trust, openness, honesty, and mutual respect. I work within my competence and will always be transparent if I believe another supervisor may be better suited to your needs.
Whether you are seeking regular clinical supervision, support with complex casework, or a reflective space to deepen your practice, I aim to provide a safe, encouraging environment where you feel supported, appropriately challenged, and empowered to practise with confidence, integrity, and authenticity.
Practice description
I see supervision as a collaborative, reflective, and restorative space where you can bring your whole self as a practitioner. My aim is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment in which you feel able to explore your client work, professional development, ethical dilemmas, and emotional responses with openness and curiosity.
My supervisory approach is grounded in person-centred values and informed by an integrative perspective. I adapt supervision to your individual learning style, theoretical orientation, and stage of professional development, recognising that every practitioner has unique strengths, experiences, and areas for growth. Whether you are a trainee, newly qualified, or an experienced practitioner, I will work alongside you to support your confidence, competence, and reflective practice.
Our sessions provide space to celebrate what is working well, thoughtfully explore challenges, and consider the impact of the work on both you and your clients. I encourage reflection, creativity, and self-compassion while maintaining a strong focus on ethical, safe, and effective practice. Together, we can explore clinical interventions, boundaries, diversity and inclusion, self-care, and the wider context in which your work takes place.
I believe effective supervision is built on trust, mutual respect, honesty, and collaboration. My role is not to judge or direct, but to offer support, constructive challenge, and different perspectives that encourage professional growth while fostering your autonomy and confidence as a practitioner.
Above all, I aim to create a supervisory relationship where you feel heard, valued, and appropriately challenged, enabling you to continue developing your practice while providing the best possible care for the people you support.
My first session
Beginning supervision is an opportunity to establish a professional relationship built on trust, openness, and collaboration. During our first session, we'll take time to get to know one another and explore what you're looking for from supervision. I'll ask about your training, experience, current practice, client group, and any professional or learning goals you would like to focus on, helping us determine how I can best support your development.
This initial session is also your opportunity to ask questions about my approach to supervision, discuss your expectations, and decide whether we are a good fit to work together. We will consider how to structure our sessions to meet your professional, ethical, and developmental needs, while ensuring you have a supportive space for reflection, challenge, and growth.
If we decide to continue working together, we will review and agree a supervision contract. This outlines our shared responsibilities, including confidentiality and its limits, record keeping, fees, session frequency and duration, cancellations, and our commitment to maintaining ethical and professional standards.
Above all, the first session is about creating a safe, respectful, and collaborative supervisory relationship. My aim is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and confident that supervision will provide a reflective space to enhance both your practice and your wellbeing as a practitioner.
