About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Louise. Are you struggling with anxiety, low mood, an eating disorder, relationship issues, grieving a loss or simply sensing there’s more to life, therapy can be a valuable space to explore and address these challenges. I also have a particular interest and experience in working with neurodivergence. I am late-diagnosed ADHD myself, and therapy can be a powerful place to explore what this means for you, develop understanding and self-compassion, and build coping strategies that genuinely fit your life.

The focus is very much on you, and our relationship, our human-to-human interactions. We will work at your pace, building trust as we navigate both sessions and the process together. Our work can be based in the present or seek to explore the past. My approach is evidence based and underpinned by relevant training. I care deeply that you achieve what you want from therapy. Feedback from previous clients often highlights the progress they’ve made, the sense of safety they feel when talking about difficult things, and the importance of experiencing me as a real person within the therapeutic relationship. I aim to be supportive and open, accepting and encouraging of all thoughts and feelings, direct when needed, and always compassionate.

As a therapist, I have experience working within organisations including both an NHS clinical setting (treating a variety of eating disorders including binge eating, bulimia, anorexia, OSFED and ARFID) as well as working in the charity sector. In addition to the above I work in private practice.

Practice description

My approach is integrative, this means that I can work in a flexible and adaptive way with methods that best suit you. I work from a person-centred base whilst drawing on CBT (ACT), attachment theory, somatic experiencing and compassion theory.
