About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I am a Person Centred Psychotherapist offering 1-1 individual sessions from a space in Atherton. Whether it is face-to-face, walk and talk or online sessions you are looking for, I am here to help and support you.
Helping and holding a space for others has always been a deeply engrained part of my personality. I have a great desire and passion in helping others, which has led me onto my journey to becoming a Psychotherapist and it is the most rewarding and fulfilling aspect of my life.
Here at The Mind Body and Soul Hub I walk with you through your struggles and help you to work towards changes in your life, to help you become a more authentic and free individual. We will work towards goals set by you and use an integrative approach to connect all aspects of your mind, body and soul.
Practice description
Qualified in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Masters level, my passion and commitment to helping others has been lifelong. I specialise in Person Centred Psychotherapy, working with people to bring about change in their lives and working with a variety of Mental Health difficulties.
Creating a safe, non-judgemental space for you to explore your every thought and feeling, is paramount to the way I work. Together we will build on our therapeutic relationship, creating a space where you feel accepted for who you are and where you feel able to speak openly about anything, without fear of judgement.
Here at The Mind Body and Soul Hub, we not only explore your thoughts and feelings but we go beyond that, seeking to connect all aspects of you together. When we experience life's difficulties, experience traumas and struggle with our thoughts, emotions and behaviours, we often disconnect our bodies from our minds. What happens then is we often lose sight of what is really going on for us, mistaking illnesses or bodily sensations as something to ignore or treat with medication. Whilst medication has its place, what I have found throughout my training and working as a Psychotherapist, is that often these physical symptoms are a result of unresolved, trapped emotions that can be worked through and released in therapy. My aim is to re-connect your mind with your body and then work with you to find soul-fulfilling activities for you to enjoy, which will give you a more satisfying and fulfilling life.
My first session
In our first session we will complete together an assessment which looks at all aspects of you and your life. This allows me to understand and gain knowledge of you on a deeper level. We will talk about your goals for therapy, what you want to achieve and how the sessions may be mapped out, to ensure we cover everything you wish to explore.
