Availability

I offer 60-minute online and telephone sessions on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and on Fridays between 9am and 6pm. Please feel free to get in touch to check my current availability or ask any questions.

I offer a concessionary rate of £45 for trainee counsellors.

About me and my therapy practice

I specialise in offering therapy for anxiety in its many forms: overthinking, uncontrollable worry, rumination, health anxiety, social anxiety, intrusive thoughts, OCD. Anxiety often feels less like a single problem and more like a constant background noise that makes decisions harder, sleep poorer and everyday moments more tiring. It can leave you exhausted, isolated, and unsure how to cope. If your mind feels busy, stuck or on high alert, you don’t have to manage it alone.

I offer a warm, calm and non-judgemental space where we’ll make sense of what’s happening and find practical, manageable ways to interrupt worry. My approach is integrative and CBT-informed: using evidence-based tools when you want practical strategies, and exploring patterns, meaning and emotional blocks when that feels right. I work in a down-to-earth, collaborative way — providing structure when you want it and gentle curiosity when you need it.

My focus is on steady, practical support so you can notice small but meaningful changes — clearer thinking, kinder self-talk and more confidence in everyday decisions.

You might be considering counselling for many reasons:

• You’re going through a tough patch and want to talk things through.

• You’re stuck on a decision and need support to explore your options.

• You’re ready to make changes but finding it harder than expected.

• You’re reflecting on past experiences and want to understand them better so you can move forward.

• You’re feeling stuck in cycles of overthinking, constant worry, or low mood.

If you’re looking for a therapist who listens, offers practical tools and respects your pace, please do get in touch.

Practice description

I bring a blend of professional training and lived experience to my counselling practice. I hold a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling, a BSc in Psychology, and a Certificate in Online & Telephone Counselling. This combination allows me to tailor sessions to your individual needs and preferences.

I’ve supported clients through charities and private agencies, offering counselling and assessments online, by phone, and in person. My time volunteering with the Samaritans deepened my appreciation for the value of having space to talk — and be heard.

Before retraining as a counsellor, I worked in office environments, particularly legal settings, and understand the pressures of deadlines, commuting, and maintaining a work-life balance.

Originally from New Zealand, I’ve travelled widely and now call London home. I understand the emotional layers of emigration — from homesickness and culture shock to identity shifts and long-distance relationships — and bring that insight into my work with clients.

I currently offer online and telephone sessions on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, as well as Fridays from 9am to 6pm. Sessions are 60 minutes long and typically weekly, though we can discuss what suits you best.

You’re welcome to choose open-ended counselling, continuing for as long as it feels helpful, or we can agree on a set timeframe and review as we go. I work with adults (18+) on an individual basis.

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to their ethical standards. I’m fully insured and trained in online and telephone counselling, ensuring your experience is safe, professional, and comfortable. My aim is to offer a space that feels steady, respectful, and genuinely supportive.

My first session

You’re welcome to book a free 20-minute telephone call. It’s a first step where we can talk about what’s led you to consider counselling, what you might need, and how I work. You can ask any questions and take your time deciding whether it feels like a good fit — there’s no expectation or commitment

If you decide to book a first full session, we’ll take time to explore what’s brought you to counselling and what you’d like to get out of it. This initial session may feel a little more focused, as we begin to understand your situation and consider what support might be most helpful. There’s no formal assessment or paperwork — just space to talk, reflect, and begin shaping a way forward together.

Some clients arrive with a clear goal in mind, while others are still working out what they need. Either way is welcome. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance, and there’s no expectation to share more than feels comfortable.

Sessions are 60 minutes long and typically held weekly, though we can discuss what suits you best. You’re welcome to choose open-ended counselling or agree on a set number of sessions and review as we go.

If you’d find it helpful to talk through whether we’re a good fit, or if you’d like to book an initial session, please feel free to get in touch.
