About me and my therapy practice
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in managerial and director positions within the fashion, beauty and retail sectors, later founding and running two successful start-up businesses. These experiences gave me valuable insight into the pressures faced by modern women—confidence, identity, raising a family, relationships, career progression and emotional wellbeing. This understanding now shapes my therapeutic work, especially when supporting women in both personal and professional growth.
My counselling journey began in 2011 in South Africa, working with children and survivors of domestic violence, trauma and mental health difficulties. Over time, drawing from both professional training and lived experience, I have developed a specialist focus in individual therapy and coaching for women seeking clarity, healing and meaningful transformation. Having moved through my own challenges, I understand how overwhelming life can feel, and what it takes to navigate self-doubt, emotional pain or feeling stuck.
My purpose is to help women reconnect with their inner strength, heal old patterns and step into a more empowered, emotionally balanced and authentic life. I believe strongly in the power of women supporting women, and I feel privileged to walk alongside each client on her healing journey.
My training spans psychodynamic and person-centred approaches, integrative therapy, CBT, transpersonal psychology, trauma and crisis intervention, family and child therapy, mental health issues, neuroscience, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. As a fully qualified psychotherapist and BACP-registered counsellor, I continue to expand my skills to offer a personalised, holistic and effective therapeutic experience. I graduated with First Class Honours (BA Hons) in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling in 2022.
Practice description
I am here to guide you through a transformative journey of healing, clarity and personal growth. Whether you are recovering from trauma, navigating narcissistic or emotional abuse, facing relationship difficulties, or simply needing support through life’s many challenges, I offer a safe, compassionate space where you can be heard, understood, and empowered.
My approach is integrative, drawing from person-centred therapy, CBT, psychodynamic and solution-focused methods, alongside transpersonal and empowerment-based practices. This allows me to tailor each session to your unique needs, helping you reconnect with your inner resilience, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your patterns.
I support adults experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, confidence issues, overwhelming stress, separation and divorce, and family or parenting difficulties. I also work with clients on inner child healing, life transitions, anger management, single parenting, spiritual development, and rediscovering a sense of purpose and direction.
My therapeutic intention is to help you feel safe enough to explore your story at your own pace, while providing grounded guidance to help you rebuild trust in yourself and your future. Together we will work towards a life that feels more balanced, authentic, and aligned with the person you are becoming. I aim to equip you with practical tools for emotional wellbeing, sustainable change, and long-term empowerment so you can stay engaged with the new, stronger version of yourself.
If you are ready to heal, grow, and create meaningful change, I am here to walk alongside you.
My first session
I offer a free, no-obligation 30-minute discovery call via Zoom. This can be booked online via my website, alternatively feel free to drop me an email. This is a gentle space for us to meet, talk through what brings you to counselling, and explore whether we feel like a good therapeutic fit. You’re welcome to ask questions, share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, and get a sense of my approach.
If you decide you’d like to continue working together, I will send you a short intake questionnaire. This helps me understand your background, your current challenges, and what you hope to gain from therapy, so that our first full session can be as supportive and focused as possible.
Your first session is an opportunity to deepen your story, establish your goals, and begin creating a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. Together, we will take the first steps toward clarity, healing, and meaningful change.
