About me and my therapy practice
I am a highly skilled psychotherapist and supervisor with over 10 years of experience in mental health and wellbeing, working across charity organisations, the NHS, private sector services, and higher education—including supporting both students, staff, fellows and academics at the University of Cambridge. I have supported adults of all ages from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate a wide range of life challenges and difficulties.
Many who seek therapy may appear to "have it all," yet quietly feel lost, disconnected, or trapped in overthinking and self-doubt. The strategies that built their lives no longer sustain their emotional wellbeing or sense of purpose. Together, we'll explore your story, build emotional clarity, and restore a confident, grounded sense of self—whilst taking meaningful steps forward.
I am trained to master's level in psychotherapy and hold postgraduate diplomas in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (SFCBT) and PTSD management. As an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I work to high professional and ethical standards.
I bring a calm, grounded, and thoughtful approach to the work, having supported people from a wide range of backgrounds navigate relationship issues, life transitions, trauma, self-esteem, identity, anxiety, and burnout.
Practice description
I offer weekly one-to-one counselling sessions for adults (18+), held online via secure video call. Sessions last 50 minutes.
As an integrative therapist, I don't follow a single rigid model. I draw on person-centred, psychodynamic, and humanistic approaches — combining them in whatever way is most helpful for you. Some people want to explore the roots of how they feel; others want to focus on the here and now. We'll work out together what feels right.
I work with a wide range of difficulties including:
- Anxiety and stress
- Depression and low mood
- Trauma and PTSD
- Grief and loss
- Relationship and attachment difficulties
- Life transitions and change
- Self-esteem and identity
- Work-related stress and burnout
I am a registered acrredited member of BACP and work in accordance with their Ethical Framework. Everything discussed in our sessions is confidential.
My first session
Our first session (50 minutes) is a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to start sharing what's brought you to therapy. I'll ask about your background, what's been going on for you, and what you're hoping to get from our work together. You won't be expected to share more than you're comfortable with — we go at your pace.
I don't use formal assessments or questionnaires. The focus is simply on helping you feel at ease and beginning to understand what you need.
At the end of the first session, we'll talk about whether you'd like to continue and what ongoing sessions might look like. There's no pressure — it's as much about you deciding if I'm the right fit for you as it is anything else.
If you're ready to get started, please get in touch to book your first session. I'd love to hear from you.
