About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I'm Nick and welcome to The Trellis Practice.

I am an integrative Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Therapeutic Coach, and Clinical Supervisor. I  work with individuals, couples, groups, and small teams, both in-person and in nature (South Cotswolds & Berks/Oxon), online (via Zoom), by telephone & text/instant messaging, across the UK, and Internationally.

I offer a free 30-minute initial conversation/consultation via Zoom. My website details the 5 different areas of work I specialise in, including 'Therapeatctic Coaching', 'Just for Men', and 'Walking-Talks'.

I am a Registered Member of the BACP, ACC and ICF and a Fellow of the Inst. of Leadership & Management. In my role as a therapist, I use various modalities (tools) which include Person-Centered, Solution-Focused, Systemic, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Self-Organised Learning.

With self-awareness and intentionality, in whatever we do, knowing ourselves is powerful, it gives us an insight into why we tend to respond and behave in certain ways in specific circumstances. Knowing ourselves is also a solid step towards better understanding other people and with more clear-mindedness.

The success of this client-therapist relationship is known to be the most powerful part of any therapeutic and personal development journey as we seek resolution to those things that constrain us from being all we can be.

If you would like to know more or just to meet me, do make use of your free 30-minute telephone or Zoom call so you can make your decision, in your time, to see if you think we could work well together.

It would be a pleasure to hear from you

Practice description

Life can be really tough and confusing at times. Maybe questions we can’t answer, emotional pain we can no longer live with and carry or unconstructive life habits we can’t seem to shift, amongst others.

We all need a safe space to be heard. A place to work and walk through these and other issues life presents, so as to find a resolution and to thrive, not just exist.

We tailor all we do together to meet you at your point of need, as an individual, as a couple, or as a group. To be a sounding board for you. To bring the expertise, professional insights, and skills required to enable you to find resolution, whether as an individual, a couple, in the therapy room, online, or Walking-Talks if you are local to the South Cotswolds or Reading regions.

My first session

I recognise, the first steps towards Counselling, Psychotherapy or Therapeutic Coaching, are sometimes the hardest, especially this can be the case for some men.

This is why I offer a free 30-minute telephone or Zoom call, so we can meet, have a conversation, and hear what you're looking for and why, and what may be the best route ahead. I also have a specific webpage, 'Just for Men', my work with them incorporates 'Waling-Talks' (South Cotswolds) as guys sometimes like to 'do stuff' while talking.

However we may start working together, I provide a safe confidential space, and we work at your pace with the objective of finding resolution to whatever your questions or struggles may be.

Maybe have a look at 'Past and Present Client' feedback under the 'About' tab on my website to gauge what people say about their experiences of working with me.

What I can help with

Addictions, Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Business coaching, Cancer, Career coaching, Coaching supervision, Depression, Development coaching, Eating disorders, Executive coaching, Health related issues, Identity issues, Leadership coaching, Life coaching, Loss, Men's issues, Mood disorder, Personal development, Phobias, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Work related issues
