About me and my therapy practice

Are you struggling, living with anxiety or depression, feeling down or going through a life changing event? Are you feeling disconnected, lost or stuck? I am a qualified integrative counsellor, working with adults and couples, providing a safe space to explore these feelings. I am committed to making a difference to my client’s lives and offer a warm, non-judgemental, compassionate and confidential counselling service working from Stockport and remotely.

I like to a build strong and secure relationship with my clients, one based on trust, where you are fully free to be yourself and feel safe to discuss any difficulties you are facing. My aim is to support you whilst we explore what’s happening, gain insight as to why, and by working together, help you overcome these issues and bring positive change. Together, we will look at your patterns of behaviour, attachment styles, your needs and how you communicate these, learn about your coping strategies (do you abandon yourself, are you a chronic people pleaser, are you living in survival mode) - explore the root of these and whether they are helpful to you or getting in the way of living in the way you’d like to. Whatever it is, counselling can help work with these feelings in a warm and supportive environment where you are seen and heard in confidence and without  judgement.

I have lots of experience of working with clients from all backgrounds with a wide range of reasons for seeking therapy. Everyday I work with people going though the most difficult of times and I believe that through the connection we build and the work we do together you will have a better understanding of who you really are, have compassion for yourself, feel more connected to others and have a sense of your purpose and direction in life.

About me and my therapy practice

I'm a qualified counsellor working with adults and couples in Stockport and online, offering a warm, compassionate, confidential, and non-judgemental space for therapy.

Alongside my private practice, I also work as an NHS counsellor, supporting individuals and families affected by cancer and bereavement. This role has deepened my understanding of the emotional impact of life-changing diagnoses and the strength it takes to navigate grief, fear, uncertainty, and hope. It’s an immense privilege to hold space for people during some of the most vulnerable and challenging times of their lives.

In all areas of my work, I’m committed to helping people make meaningful and lasting changes. As a qualified integrative counsellor, I tailor our work together using a blend of Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Transactional Analysis (TA)—approaches that allow me to adapt to your unique needs and experiences. I am also a trained EMDR therapist, which enables me to offer effective trauma-focused therapy as part of our work.

I believe that change starts with connection. I aim to build a strong, trusting relationship with my clients—one where you feel safe to be fully yourself, explore what’s going on, and feel heard without judgement.

Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns, I’m here to support you. We’ll look together at how your past and present experiences are shaping your thoughts, behaviours, and relationships—examining things like attachment styles, emotional needs, communication, and coping mechanisms. Are you constantly people-pleasing, shutting down, or living in survival mode? Do you find yourself abandoning your own needs? We'll explore the roots of these patterns, understand why they developed, and work on building new ways of relating—to yourself and others.

Whatever you're going through, you don’t have to face it alone. I’m here to walk alongside you—at your pace, in your time.
