Feel free to embark on this transformative journey with me. Your path to a happier life begins with a single step – let's take that step together.

**Therapeutic Approaches**

*Short-Term Therapy:*

Are current challenges overwhelming you? Do you seek a confidential space to process your thoughts and emotions, or perhaps a compassionate ear to truly hear you? Short-term therapy can offer support through crises, work-related stress, and the underlying causes of present anxiety or depression. Mindfulness techniques can be particularly effective in developing new coping strategies during these trying times.

*Long-Term Therapy:*

If you're ready to address longstanding issues that influence your present life, long-term therapy may be beneficial. This approach allows you to explore at your own pace, addressing deep-seated experiences such as childhood trauma, familial relationships, loss, and grief.

Unsure About What You Need?

That’s completely understandable. Together, we can determine what you hope  to achieve from our sessions and design a tailored care plan just for you.

Practice description

Counselling for Depression & Anxiety

Do you struggle with depression or anxiety? My understanding is depression can sometimes be caused by unprocessed emotions from the past that need to be felt before you can move forward. Anxiety is often a fear of the future, by exploring your fears and unprocessed emotions you can begin to understand where they come from, how they are holding you back and hopefully relieve some of the pain they are causing in your life today.

Counselling for substance addiction.

Are you struggling with the use of substances, over using recreational drugs or struggling with problematic alcohol use. I work with clients to help them build a picture of their triggers and thought patterns that lead to substance use, working in a person-centred way to support you in building healthy coping mechanisms to support recovery from addiction. Whatever you may be addicted too such as: Food, gaming, shopping, substances or alcohol this is just the behaviour or symptom of an underling issue. I like to work at looking at these underlying issues in order to support your recovery.

Other areas I can support you with include: feelings of sadness, improving your self-esteem, Trauma, General Anxiety Disorder, PTSD and low mood

I can support you in understanding and exploring whatever you wish to bring to therapy.

**Seeking Therapy? Let's Navigate Your Journey Together**

Selecting a therapist can feel like a daunting task amongst a sea of profiles. You may wonder, "How do I choose the right therapist for me?" These are significant questions, and it's perfectly normal to seek clarity on this path.

I believe the key to a successful therapeutic relationship is compatibility. To ensure we're well-matched, we start with an introductory telephone conversation. This allows us to break the ice and get to know each other. If we both sense a connection, we'll arrange an initial session. Here, we'll look into your aspirations for therapy, define your goals, and tailor our approach to "The Work" to your own personal needs.

Through a comprehensive initial assessment, we can identify and navigate your individual needs, creating a bespoke therapeutic experience. I am committed to fostering a secure environment where you can freely explore your innermost thoughts, feelings, and emotions. In such a space, trust flourishes, paving the way for a deeper insight into the challenges you face.
