About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling disconnected in your relationships—struggling to communicate, rebuild trust, or make sense of changes in your life? Maybe you’re coping with the impact of betrayal, conflict, or loss. Whatever has brought you here, I will do my best to help.

I am a warm and approachable, fully qualified and accredited Psychotherapist and Coach, and a registered member of the BACP (MBACP Accred) and EMDR Association. I believe that our relationships—both with ourselves and with others—shape the quality of our lives. Many people I work with describe a sense of emptiness or disconnection in their relationships, no matter how successful they appear. Together we can explore your story, strengthen your sense of self, and create more authentic, fulfilling connections.

My background began in Psychology and Business before moving into HR and Leadership Coaching at ITV working on productions such as 'I'm a Celebrity'  and 'This Morning', and later in an international law firm whilst completing my Masters in HR / Psychology.

After my own experience of therapy during a health diagnosis, I retrained in Counselling and have since spent many years working for a leading relationship charity (previously Relate), supporting individuals and couples with a wide range of relationship difficulties under the supervision of experienced Couples and Psychosexual Therapists. Alongside this, I worked with the NHS counselling clients affected by cancer diagnoses.

I am trained in EMDR to support people processing difficult past experiences, and I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches including CBT and Transactional Analysis. Therapy with me is always tailored to your unique needs—no two journeys look the same.

Practice description

What I have learned most is that we grow through connection. It can feel daunting to look at yourself and your relationships from a new perspective, but it can also be deeply freeing. I provide empathy, insight, and a safe, non-judgemental space where you can reflect, heal, and grow.

Over time, you may find yourself better able to understand your patterns, feel more connected to others, and develop healthier ways of relating. My aim is not just to support you through difficulties, but to equip you with the awareness and skills to move forward with clarity and confidence.

I work with relationship issues of all kinds, including affairs, betrayal, emotional and physical abuse, family conflict, trauma, anxiety, OCD, and late-diagnosed ADHD.

I offer both short and long-term therapy and coaching from my private practice in St Ann’s Square, Manchester.

I hold sessions in my Private Practice on Mondays - Wednesdays 9.30am-5pm in St Ann's Square Manchester City Centre.

Please note that I am currently not taking on couples and am only taking on individual clients.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an accredited Psychotherapist and Coach specialising in relationship difficulties for individuals. I work with people who feel stuck, disconnected, or distressed in their relationships, whether that involves a partner, ex-partner, family member, or their relationship with themselves.

Many of my clients come to therapy feeling confused, anxious, or emotionally exhausted. Common themes include affairs and betrayal, loss of trust, relationship anxiety, attachment issues, repeated relationship patterns, emotional dependency, and difficulty setting boundaries. Some clients are navigating separation or divorce. Others are in relationships but feel lonely, unseen, or chronically unsure.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and evidence-based. I draw on EMDR, CBT, Transactional Analysis, and integrative psychotherapy, adapting the work to your specific history, needs, and goals. Therapy is collaborative and thoughtful, with space to explore both present-day relationship struggles and the earlier experiences that may be shaping them.

Before retraining as a psychotherapist, I worked in psychology-led roles in HR and leadership coaching, including at ITV working on productions such as 'I'm a Celebrity' and 'This Morning' and within an international law firm. I later spent four years working for a leading UK relationship charity, supporting individuals and couples with complex relationship issues under supervision of an experienced Couples and Psychosexual supervisor. Alongside this, I worked with NHS counselling clients affected by cancer diagnoses.

I also have experience working with trauma, anxiety, OCD, emotional abuse, coercive control, and late-diagnosed ADHD, particularly where these intersect with relationship difficulties.

Clients often describe me as warm, perceptive, and grounding. I aim to provide a calm, non-judgemental space where you can make sense of your experiences, understand your patterns, and develop healthier, more secure ways of relating.

Practice description

Relationships shape how we see ourselves and how safe we feel in the world. When relationships become painful, uncertain or unstable, it can affect confidence, identity and overall wellbeing.

In therapy, we look at how you relate, why certain patterns repeat, and what feels difficult to change. This might involve processing painful experiences, strengthening self-worth, learning to tolerate uncertainty, or developing clearer boundaries and communication.

Over time, many clients find they understand their relationship patterns more clearly, feel more confident in themselves, and are able to build healthier and more secure connections with others.

What I have learned most is that we grow through connection. It can feel daunting to look at yourself and your relationships from a new perspective, but it can also be deeply freeing. I provide empathy, insight, and a safe, non-judgemental space where you can reflect, heal, and grow
