About me and my therapy practice
I understand that reaching out for support can take courage, and I honour the strength it takes. I provide a compassionate, accepting, and confidential space where you can feel safe, be yourself, and explore your experiences at your own pace. Using professional expertise and approaches rooted in acceptance and commitment, I support you in navigating challenges with care and taking meaningful steps toward the changes you wish to see in your life. Your individuality and goals are always at the heart of our work together, and I am dedicated to helping you find clarity, understanding, personal growth, and healing.
As a qualified, registered, and accredited therapist, I work alongside you to make sense of the experiences that have brought you here. Together, we can find a path that feels fulfilling to you.
I am also a professionally trained EMDR trauma therapist, and I am deeply committed to supporting you in healing from past trauma. Using a gentle, tailored approach, distressing memories can be processed and integrated, helping you move toward a calmer and more peaceful life.
I work with adults (18+) from diverse backgrounds and have extensive experience supporting a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, stress, depression, grief and loss, trauma, PTSD, panic attacks, self-esteem difficulties, self-harm, life transitions, identity concerns, and relationship challenges.
Whatever you may be facing, I offer therapy with warmth, empathy, and without judgement.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 15 years working with adults and children across health, social care, and specialist education settings. This has given me a strong understanding of neurological and developmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit disorders, learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease.
Practice description
My approach is rooted in humanistic counselling, while also working integratively. I believe that everyone has an innate capacity for growth, healing, and self-understanding. Drawing on a variety of therapeutic approaches allows me to tailor our work to your individual needs and goals.
Therapy is a collaborative and powerful space where your unique experiences and needs guide the work we do together. I offer empathy, understanding, and acceptance, creating a safe environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Together, we can uncover what truly matters to you, bring clarity to challenging situations, and identify ways to build balance and meaning in your life. The relationship between us is central—feeling genuinely heard and understood allows for authentic growth, personal insight, and lasting healing.
I offer counselling and psychotherapy, whether you are looking for short-term support or a longer-term space to explore deeper issues. Sessions are available online via Zoom, allowing you to access therapy safely and conveniently from wherever you are in the UK, while still feeling fully supported and understood.
I also provide EMDR therapy online, offering a safe and confidential space to work through distressing memories and trauma. You can find further information about EMDR and how it may support your healing below.
