About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Emily a natural world loving, animal friendly psychotherapeutic counsellor working face to face in Kendal and the local area, as well as online across the country.I work in a way that is flexible and responsive to the work you would like to do. We can do this inside or outdoors. I work openly and with empathy and honesty. I will not make judgements of you and your world, I am here to listen, reflect and support you to find understanding, relief and clarity. You might want to work on a particular issue or you may be wanting to spend time finding out who you are.
Practice description
I offer sessions both indoors and outside, tailoring our time together to meet your wants and time pressures. I suggest weekly sessions, which are approximately 50 minutes long where we will build a trusting therapeutic relationship that will underpin all we do together.
My first session
The first session tends to be different to others as I will explain how our sessions can work and will ask you to tell me about your reasons, hopes and possible aims for your therapy. I will go through a therapeutic agreement which considers confidentiality, payment, cancellations, GDPR and expectations. You may ask as many questions as you wish, I am always happy to answer.
