About me and my therapy practice

Perhaps you're feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed or stuck, or finding that the same difficulties keep appearing in your life or relationships. You may be struggling with self-esteem, stress, loss, trauma, sexuality or intimacy, or going through a significant change in your life. Sometimes it can simply be difficult to understand why you feel the way you do.

I am an experienced accredited psychotherapist working with adults and couples. I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what is happening, understand yourself and your relationships more deeply, and begin to find a way forward.

My approach is humanistic, relational and integrative. I believe that a trusting and genuine therapeutic relationship can provide the foundation for meaningful change. Rather than expecting you to fit a particular model of therapy, I adapt how I work according to you, what brings you to therapy and what you need from our work together.

I work with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, low self-esteem, trauma, bereavement, sexuality and burnout. I also have particular experience in men's mental health, LGBTQ+ issues, couples work and psychosexual therapy.

I work online with clients across the UK, with both daytime and evening appointments available.

Practice description

My approach is humanistic, relational and integrative, drawing primarily on Person-Centred Therapy, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis, alongside attachment and psychodynamic perspectives. I adapt how I work according to you and what you need from therapy rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

I have particular experience working with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, relationship and intimacy difficulties, men's mental health, LGBTQ+ issues, sexuality and burnout.

Alongside individual psychotherapy, I am trained in couples and relationship therapy and psychosexual therapy/clinical sexology. I work with couples experiencing difficulties including communication, conflict, intimacy, trust, sex and changes within their relationship.

My practice is LGBTQ+ affirmative and welcoming of different sexualities, gender identities and relationship styles. I am committed to working sensitively with difference and diversity, including how identity, culture and lived experience can influence our emotional lives and relationships.

Alongside psychotherapy, I also offer therapeutic coaching for people seeking a more focused approach to personal or professional development, confidence, decision-making, change or burnout.

My first session

Finding the right therapist is an important part of the process, so I offer a free 30-minute initial video consultation.

This gives us an opportunity to talk about what brings you to therapy, what you would like help with and whether working together feels right. There is no obligation to continue afterwards.

If we decide to work together, individual sessions are £85 and couples sessions are £110. I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee spaces, subject to availability.

I work online with clients across the UK and offer both daytime and evening appointments. Please feel free to get in touch to arrange an initial conversation.

Availability

I offer online supervision Monday to Friday, with daytime and some evening availability. Supervision can be arranged monthly or at another frequency appropriate to your practice and professional requirements.

Please get in touch to arrange a free 30-minute initial video consultation.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer online clinical supervision to qualified therapists and counsellors, trainees and other practitioners working therapeutically with adults and couples.

My approach to supervision is humanistic, relational and integrative. I aim to provide a supportive, collaborative and appropriately challenging space where you can think openly about your client work, therapeutic relationships and your own experience as a practitioner.

I see supervision as more than case management. Alongside attending to client wellbeing, ethics and safe practice, there is space to explore what may be happening within the therapeutic relationship, including transference and countertransference, parallel process, difference and diversity, professional boundaries and the impact of the work on you as a therapist.

My own psychotherapy practice is integrative and draws primarily on Person-Centred Therapy, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis, alongside attachment and psychodynamic perspectives. I also have specialist training and experience in couples and relationship therapy, psychosexual therapy, LGBTQ+ affirmative practice and therapeutic coaching.

I particularly welcome therapists who value a relational and reflective approach to supervision, including practitioners developing their own integrative way of working.

I hold a Level 6 Diploma in Clinical Supervision and am a UKCP accredited psychotherapist, BACP Senior Accredited member and accredited member of the NCPS. I also work as a counselling tutor, which gives me an understanding of the developmental and professional needs of trainee therapists.

Supervision is available online throughout the UK.

Practice description

My supervision practice is grounded in a humanistic and relational philosophy and informed particularly by Hawkins and Shohet's Seven-Eyed Model. This allows us to explore the client, therapist, therapeutic relationship, supervisory relationship and wider systems influencing the work.

I draw on Person-Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis perspectives alongside attachment, psychodynamic and systemic thinking. I also use Mazzetti's Operational Model where helpful in providing structure and attending to the different functions of supervision.

I aim to balance support with appropriate challenge. Supervision should be a space where you can bring uncertainty, mistakes, difficult feelings and work that leaves you feeling stuck, as well as recognising your strengths and developing confidence in your own therapeutic judgement.

For trainees and developing practitioners, I can also support reflection on professional identity, ethical practice, boundaries, placement work and the transition towards qualified practice.

My first session

Supervision is £65 for 50 minutes or £85 for 90 minutes. I offer a reduced rate for trainee therapists and counsellors.

I offer a free initial 30-minute video consultation so that we can discuss your practice, supervision requirements and professional or training-body requirements, and consider whether we would be a good fit to work together.
