About me and my therapy practice

I offer confidential counselling and therapy for adults. Perhaps you're feeling confused, stuck, in low spirits, or wish you could be living more fully. Perhaps you're struggling to manage feelings stirred up by global events and the climate crisis.

I work with people who are finding their way through depression, anxiety, trauma, bereavement and other struggles.

I bring warmth, understanding, sensitivity and a non-judgmental approach. My lived experience brings awareness and respect for people of diverse identities and backgrounds. I draw on many years of work as a writer and creative practitioner.

Practice description

I've undertaken psychotherapeutic training to offer integrative counselling and therapy. I draw on different ways of working in response to what you need. I am committed to doing useful work to bring awareness and change.

I believe we all have an instinct for growth and healthy living. You may have found ways of surviving, perhaps in response to difficulties, which may no longer be helpful.

Our task together is to support you to find your own way to unblock your instinct for growth, so that you can live more fully, with more energy and ease.

We'll meet weekly, preferably at the same time each week, for a 50-minute session. Some people come for just a few sessions. Others come for a longer period. Each person's work is different.

My first session

After an initial chat on the phone, I suggest we meet for an initial session in person on online.  This session is a chance to see how it feels working together, to get a sense of the issues you're facing, and for you to ask any questions you might have.
